I will welcome Parry to Oval Ave with open arms because it was clear to most that dobba was out of his depth as lead ruckmen.

Parry and Boyd were moved on because they were not commited to the cause.....South have done the right thing...if they are to improve they must have a committed list of players......the weak ones will be weeded out and Ron will find them ......

This doesn't sound good for the Eagles recruiting an uncommitted Ruck man .If what u say is correct CCL.
My mail from South is the footy manager failed to inform Ron. After being told in season 09 that Parry would miss the first couple of weeks of Preseason training in 2010.To attend a family wedding in the states.
My mail on Boyd was he left due to his brother being cut .

My 2 cents worth .We wont know the entire story as we weren't there.

If Boyd is rumoured to be playing at centrals i hope he gets a fuel card.Long drive 3 to 4 nights aweek plus game day from morphett vale to elizabeth. Also if he quit because his brother got cut then he probably not the type of bloke you want wearing your jumper.

Well said KungFu Panda!!!
If thats the problem then "sooky sooky la la" Boyd can go cry somewhere else.....what a p*ss weak excuse!!!! Thats the sort of character South are trying to get rid of......

I think he will regret this decision in the long term. There are tons of players at other clubs better than him.
Good call by the club!!!
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

He did end being the state ruckman, but surely Eagles fans can admit he is probably the 4th or 5th best ruckman in the league behind Meiklejohn, Cranston, Parry, Lobbe and even Mackenzie at Central.

He's no Paul Lindsay (who was head and shoulders above any other ruckman this decade), but he is more than adequate as a lead ruckman for a league footy club. I wouldn't jump at any of those names you suggested as a replacement for Dabrowski - it will be handy to have one of them work alongside him though.

Apart from Paul Scoullar who wasn't far behind and together had the best ruck duels of the past 10 years. ;)

Agree Spelly, Scoulls was a great ruckman for the Dogs and did have some great duals with Lindsay...

Parry has signed with the Eagles. As for Boyd, between Centrals, North and Eagles, with the Eagles favorites.
