I'm hearing whispers that the Bays are chasing a South Aussie full forward who retired from the AFL at season's end, formerly from another SANFL club as well !!

I beleive this person has already contacted his former club asking to play with them next year.

Doggies supporters would love to have him back for a season, play him out of the square, but I think with his aging body and constant knee / ankle problems, Micky O wont be playing anywhere next season.

I reckon he has taken up a position with the AFL / AIS Academy anyway with Matthew Loyd and think he's staying in NSW.

Skipworth just retired from Essendon. will he return to oval avenue. hope so. will be what we need. Godden has fallen into a very solid side with if skippy comes back, whelan comes back and jay shultz.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Would be good to get him back but had read somewhere he was mentoring the younger guys at Essendon, wonder if an off field role with Bombers and playing in the VFL may be his thing?
Trust the process.

What's to say Godden wants them. He may want to develop his own team and not rely on old AFL hacks.....

As if he wouldn't want Skipworth, Schultz and Whelan. None of which are "hacks".

There is a bad hisotry with Micky and the club but it relates to a junior coach of his over 10-15 years ago and I would suggest bridges can be built and crossed !!

But, not relevant anyway because he wont be coming back to Adelaide, the past is the past...

yeah most people know the story and yes as unlikely as ot would be for Micky O to play in the SANFL again, it would be even less likely he would play for the Dogs.
