I was told last night that Anthony Koutoufides was looking at coaching in the SANFL .As a way of getting in to the AFL .
No Idea if its true ;)

Smith supposed to be a good junior coach of the ACT/NSW under18's

Smithy would have too good a job on Fox surely!

I hope neither Kouta or Smith would get a look in. They can't string a sentence together on the tv...

Interesting rumour on the weekend about the process in which the Eagles are going about finding the successful applicant to fill the League coaching position.
Phil Smyth i hear is along the chain of conducting interviews.
Can anyone down Eagle Land fill us in as to why they'd have a basketballer conducting interviews for a football coaching vacancy if this is true?
If it is he seems to have alot of interest in footy circles of late.

Surely you can work it out for yourself , but incase not ...... the process is also about getting the right type of person to lead the club ie. his persona and people skills , as well Smyth is capable of asking non football questions that may or may not show a candidates worth

Seems a better more professional way of getting a coach seeing West did the same .by this I mean using the same company as WWT are using.

To me its better than saying send cv's etc to bob clayton .How can u get someone from outside the state to apply that way.

I'm not knocking the club using the same company as West did but Phil Smyth.

Hey i'm hearing you with the Port advertising sending cv's to Bob Clayton, remember though they have no money!

Think the idea behind Smyth NM was to have someone impartial but with a successful coaching career to possibly offset the footy knowledge of the others involved.

The application process for the Port job surprised me also...would have thought the league may have had a company (such as McArthur) to assist the clubs with the process at a reduced rate.
Trust the process.
