Salary cap is an interesting one i think...if the club goes over and cops a fine or worse ..along the lines of what has happend to Norwood for next year...im sure you would be one of the first to complain....they take a more consevative appraoch and promote kids who have come through our zone and junior programs and you complain that they havent spent enough, obviously you have issues with the current board and others who have previously been on it. Big Phil - a member tipping against his team - i think there'll need to be words!!

Important game and hopefully will see a good turnout of Eagles fans at Woodville

Remember is our Sportsman night after the game with Flipper Phillips, Damien Fleming and Warwick Capper plus a great auction of sporting gear - especially a very very special Don Bradman presentation - details on website.

Once again the Woodville West Torrens rehabilitation complex is in another stage of reserrecting an AFL career
3 players in recent times
Nick Salter
Brett Burton
and TOMorrow Trent Hentschel

You gotta feel a bit for Ronnie Fuller and the crew, who thru unavailabilities and injuries, are forever making changes just about every week

This week the spotlight will be on Trent Hentschel
But I think most diehard Eagles supPORTers [and ME] will be delighted that Luke Powell is back from a long injury lay off

Fingers crossed for both players and hoping for an injury free end to the season

Unlike your TV heroe , your not getting to the real centre of this "mystery " ; last year we were some $70k under , while I think the CEO is more then competent to add up player contracts , dont you ? Why the bloody hell do we need to be handicapping ourselves by being conservative ! Thats a Boardroom cop out mate , wake up ffs . Also , all SANFL clubs clearly promote their young up and comers and have done for ages now . As for issues with some of the Board ; if you love the club , how can you not have , I mean just to pick the most recent little tit bit where our ex Chairman threw all his toys out of his cot and left in a huff after about round 2 , well honestly ........ kids stuff ! Regarding Fuller , I put it like this ........ New Chairman , New CEO , New Coach ! Sounds just right doesnt it . Finally , I know the guy ! !

Clinton ALLEWAY out for the season ???????????????????????????????????????

Was the injury when he got crunched over the boundary on the grandstand half forward area last week ?
He got up and ran to his position clutching his hand or wrist area

If he is out for the season that is a massive blow
Not good seeing very good players injured

Hopefully my informant is wrong

According to the Power website Broadbent and Salter have both been dropped. With them coming into the Eagles side who misses out from the original squad. I would expect Hill and Sumner to be unlucky casualties.

I agree with you there SC - he was a very handy addition last week and he proved he is ready for League footy but when you add Salter and Broadbent to the side I think he might miss out.

No Colin Rowston in League or Reserves at all this week...anywhere....must have been his turn to be "Rotated"

I made mention of this as well Colombo in the Richard Williams thread. One would assume after his performance last week in the Central v Eagles game he was told he is not deserving of doing any games this weekend. Also, nice to 'officially' meet you last week at Elizabeth as well mate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Miles drop out as I don't think he's been at his best for a few weeks. I would keep Banner in though he's been very good value.
