I would say it would lead them to saying 'dont expect the $400k dividend you get from us'. Where would this leave the SANFL clubs? As you said, its a two way street. You want the coin, you play the players. Whilst its a poor situation, in the end, hes an AFL player, hes listed as an emergency, if the Power want to pull him and send him to Melbourne because someone is in doubt then thats up to them. The Crows do this numerous times a year as well.

Take the blinkers off Macca, I noticed you selectively left out the remainder of my post which intimated everyting you just said ... Don't be so touchy about it, it's not a shot at your beloved Power

What blinkers have I got on? Your post mentioned none of the downside of SANFL clubs refusing to play players.

Unfortunately, the way things are set up, a player being pulled in this fashion is ugly, annoying and frustrating for the SANFL club and supporters. If it was Zorzi or some other normal SANFL player, noone would bat an eyelid, as players get pulled and emergencies substituted into squads on a weekly basis at all levels of the game. On the rare occasion, players end up getting pulled from already started reserves games. On the rare occasion, players get pulled from the stands after a player injures himself in the warmup.

Its a crap situation, but apart from the AFL clubs having full control over their squad and having set reserves teams, then its gonna happen now and then.

Yeah ok, it didn't specifically state, but I would have thought questioning what effect it might have on all SANFL clubs if they suddenly decided to stop accepting local AFL players, was pretty pretty obvious - ie, Power/Crows dividends .. I would have backed you to know that, my mistake.
