why does a Magpie Champion who played for the Power hate them so much he refuses to go to any Power Functions and would rather be a member of Collingwood then give his money to the Power......this he told me so himself which stunned me!
the division between the two clubs is very real and it is not small by any means !............
How sad that some Magpie faithful from alberton and perhaps elsewhere (port supporters are actually spread over australia as well as Alberton) did not get any satifaction when :
Jack Cahill first coached at the games highest level against the crows and won.
Bucky Cunningham gained widespread respect as he mixed it with AFL ceo's.
Fos Williams son coached a Port side to its first AFL grand final.
Russell Eberts son was drafted under the father son rule (ask the faithful to explain that one).
Michael Wilson and Byron Picket (to name a couple) proudly wore the famous prison bar guernsy in an AFL game.
Graham cornes's sons earned All Australian honours playing for Port Adelaide.
I guess some people are never happy !!!
Good to see many Port Adelaide people are still upbeat
I was proud to see those things but not the cornes boys because All Australian, Bays fans have a ruight to be proud of that. I have my reasons for No longer following the power most of which was getting crap when i wore any magpies gear to power matches from other port supporters. When the Power first wore the prison bar gurnsey i was there although i had already given up on the Power and so were otehrs like me who only follow the Magpies.
