He and others feel he's improved a hell of a lot, he thought he was very raw with a hell of a lot to learn when he left the Eagles.
He's a nice lad who's a talented ruckman who just wanted to improve himself and spend more time on the field.
I don't think you should hold that against him.

How much more of a dickhead can you be? How about grade 1 spelling if you are going to continue to "payout" on Budgie!

Typo mate I do know how to spell. Who's the dickhead for posting a ridiculous comment. I wouldn't expect any different from a North supporter though.

Not at all. I just don't like the guy because he says something to your face and then turns around and does the exact opposite. Oval Avenue is better off without him.

It was a pointless post wedgie. I didn't mean to be open ended with the Roosters rant. There are some nice blokes like yourself. No disrespect meant.

Just to try and put some common sense back into this topic (if it ever had any) the hitout stats on Sunday were (and take into account that Wakelin started in ruck and the Dogs have a bloke in ruck who played AFL this year):

O'Hara 21 hitouts
Central 14 hitouts
Wakelin 11 hitouts

I think there's a hell of a lot bigger issues to be raising when it comes to North players stats mainly the tackling stats:

Central 49
North 27

As Dianne on the Roost pointed out only 1 Central player didn't lay a tackle yet there were 7 North players who didn't lay a tackle.

O'Hara has been absolutely sensational this year and has really improved his football in the last 2 years.

Couldn't beleive those stats, I really thought that watching the game that Griffin got his hand to the ball more than 50% of the time, and even Gowans in the paper thought he might win the Jack Oatey! Maybe I will watch closer next time.

Griffin and MacKenzie have O'Hara and Wakelin a bath on Sunday. Raw hit out stats are the most useless stat in footy. Most SANFL ruckmen just get their hand to the ball and hit it at random, hoping their midfielders can somehow figure out where the ball is going. The most damaging SANFL ruckmen are the ones who actually do something around the ground. Griffin and MacKenzie work hard to block opposition players, and try to provide options for their teammates. Griffin has learned to use his size at stoppages to get the ball moving forward by just charging at the ball and pushing everyone forward as much as he can. MacKenzie's handball releases from packs are superb. O'Hara and Wakelin seem to disappear into the ground once the ruck contest is finished.

My opinion of O'Hara is he is very good at getting his hand on the ball in the ruck, terrible at controlling where it goes and a very tall blade of grass the rest of the time.

Doesn't help when your midfielders can't get their hand on the ball from the taps (despite who's ruckman got them) for 3/4 of the game!

I reckon that's a pretty important point BPBRB. The dogs have been experts at winning the clearance from opposition ruckmen. Paul Lindsay has tapped many the way of our midfield.

Yep - sadly despite North's ruckman being very good at getting hitout's (based on the number they did end up with incl. the GF) our overall clearances and winning the contested 50/50 ball was very average all year. It was even worse when Allan wasn't in the middle or on the ball either.

That needs to improve significantly iin 2008 if North it to remain a top 3 side.

Hence one of the reasons (and I stress there are other reasons)why the EAGLES were granfinalists and not premiers pre 2006.
One of the highlights of the 2006 GF was having a ruckman who beat Centrals ruckman and then go forward and grab and KICK the ball. And I'm not talking about Paul Lindsey IMHO he does struggle against Centrals .
