Holy cow I only just saw what I wrote - I apologise and I honestly have no idea why I wrote Port v Norwood was the TV game here (although as 1 v 2, there was a good case for a late change). Richmond was earmarked for the Round 17 TV game by Channel 7 right at the start of the year for venue equality. The list of TV games I posted last week by teams and venues is still accurate.
Now PhilH's responses aren't as confusing any more.
Not that's it's a secret, but the first two weeksof finals won't be on the main channel (not that it really matters either).
ELIMINATION FINAL
Saturday, August 30
T.B.D. v T.B.D. Adelaide Oval 4:40pm 7mate 4:30pm
QUALIFYING FINAL
Saturday, August 30
T.B.D. v T.B.D. Adelaide Oval 7:40pm 7mate 7:30pm

Heard Jars on TV recently, brilliant . Thats what the coverage needs ...some excitement and get up to engage the audience. Overall much better than what we got with 2 but the interviews at the breaks .................????? Come on ...people are watching.

You might get your wish, Bounce of the ball, with whispers floating around that Jars might need to be used, come finals time...
Have heard that John Casey will be away for the first 3 weeks of the finals, calling basketball, so perhaps Ginevar will step up and call the play-by-play with Soders and then Jars will step into the Special Comments role...

Interesting that guys with previous SANFL and TV calling experience have been totally overlooked...

"MMM" you may well be on the money there BP. Bloke has been selected has 10 plus years footy radio calling experience coupled with other calling experience. Will bring a high level of energy and enjoyment to a calling team which to be honest between Casey, Giniver and Soda has been a bit flat.

Not doubting the guys ability to call, or his experience, just wondering how much SANFL footy he has seen this year?
