I missed that. What is the answer re the potential clash at Adelaide Oval? I would've thought it would be as simple as going back to the health experts early next week, if there are still 0 cases and asking to play Round 1 a week earlier to avoid the clash. In the meantime, flag that possibility with the clubs.

As a general rule (which covers SANFL, community leagues and other sports), I can't see them increasing above 500 for at least a couple of weeks after competitions start.
However, I agree that if there are no new cases from the Showdown crowd, and all the social distancing processes they implement run well, Adelaide Oval may get an exemption for larger crowds, and starting from round 1, instead of round 2.
For example, 2000 people social distancing at Adelaide Oval is going to be a lot easier to do than at any suburban ground. But would clubs prefer to play at Adelaide Oval in front of a larger crowd where the majority of their season ticketed members could attend every week, or at their suburban ground where a member would be lucky to attend one game a month?
