JMO, i see where you are trying to be funny and wedgie, i see where you are trying to not be fazed by his dig at bufords ability!!!

 :D

lol, I know, just me being a smart arse as per usual but I was serious as far as value goes, North had hit close to the cap with their recruiting of midfielders has gone so had to try and help add some depth with "lesser" talent and to grab a bloke who has played SANFL before a younger age and WAFL also in a spot we could be extremely scarce in if there's an injury or two is smart recruiting IMHO.

Basically we had O'Hara in ruck, besides him we had Down (who I rate but wouldn't set the league on fire), Wundke's younger brother (who may still be a bit green) or we'd have to put Schubert into ruck and lose a Key Position Backman.
Burf may not set the world alight but will definately add depth to a position we may have been in a lot of trouble not having Wakeline or Hudson like we have in recent years.

and thinking about it, i wouldnt mind grabbing someone like that too...we had a dig at Aaron Bishop who last played for us around 2004 or so. He would be handy now to back up feast and help kurtze and the other young ones along.

burford is low risk an dif he pans out for 20 mins a game, then great, if not, no real loss.

The wraps on Stewart are big, see he took 15 marks in one game last year. Archard is training the place down and I have a feeling Schubert will be the senior sides secong ruck to O'hara

i apologise i meant cheapeast "lesser" talented recruit of the year.

great work James Moore. Michael Burford can I guess Lucas Herbert had other plans ??? I thought you couldn't get a worse back up ruckman than wakelin. proved me wrong.

I have always admired Ian Perrie as a footballer.

He shouldn't have played that Final in 2004 when my beloved Blues thrashed the Roosters :) :)

I hope Ian's the Recruit of the 2008 Season.

Thank you!

I may have missed this earlier in the topic, but obviously Pfeiffer has gone from Norwood to Carlton, although just curious as to how he is travelling there, havent heard or read anything, and quite interestingly they have not even added his details to their official website, I wonder if he has taken the wake up call and concentrated on his footy, or made some mistakes similar to what happened while at Adelaide. Anyone know?

McGrath has got a position at the AFL working the indigenous players and will be playing at Port Melbourne.

He didnt' want to leave the club but the job was one that he couldn't refuse.

Looks like Nathan Grima might be an IN for either Glenelg or Dogs in 2009

If so, it is quite likely that Todd will only spend one year at Glenelg. He stated that he would play at Central if his brother was playing there.

Surely he's not on a one year contract?

Contracts are made to be broken unfortunately. Actually, I do hope that this is not the end of Nathan at the Kangaroos. Praying that he can recovery from his injury and have a huge impact there in 2009. If it is the end of his AFL career, it would not surprise me to actually see him return home.

You really think Glenelg would let him to to Centrals? Unless theres a clause in the contract, i'd say there'd be little chance they'd clear him to CD.

How long did he sign for? One year? If so, there is nothing to stop him playing for Central in 2009.

Thats right, if its one year wouldn't be a huge issue, but thats different to saying a contract is made to be broken though.

Well, unfortunately today some contracts tend not to be worth the paper they are written on. As I said earlier though, there is no guarantee that Nathan would return to Central if his AFL career is ended by this injury. I pray for his sake that his AFL career continues.
