The umpires have been advised to err on the side of caution and to palce the report if in doubt.

The process is now in place for justice to be served accordingly and / or common sense to prevail which it did in both cases.

Pretty surprised Mitch only copped two weeks, for mine this is almost official confirmation of a change in direction/nature of the game because this type of incident was once the most frowned upon.

Now we can see frontal contact type incidents resulting in lengthier suspensions than something like this.

Which would directly reflect the risk of causing injury due to such action.

No question, although an elbow to the head of an unsuspecting recipient would pose a decent risk to causing serious injury I would have thought.

89kg rockape?

He's a frigging baby.

Have a look at the Samoan winger or most props in the Rugby World Cup and get back to me.

Looking at that photo I hope the Glenelg player was reported for his elbow to the side of the South player too?

Given the Glenelg player is clearly laying a shepherd they knew contact was happening. Just the elbow to the head part that's the problem.

Nobody deserves an elbow behind the ear on a footy field
Snook was shepherding so may have expected some body contact but not the elbow
