There are many reasons for Claremont's defeat. One of the most significant and important factors in East Perth’s crushing victory was the fact that they had five full-time professional AFL players, the West Coast Eagles quintet of Adam Selwood, Scott Lycett, Jamie Cripps, Cale Morton and Blayne Wilson. Each made a significant contribution against the Claremont side which did not include a single AFL-listed player.

That is a concern. I haven't bought into the idea that the Crows and Power will be weak opposition in the SANFL. The teams might start off with a lot of half arsed SAAFL players chipping in, but I don't think it will be long before this is obviously not helping the AFL players and soon you'll have decent country and local players becoming the top up players.
The only argument I can see against it is Sturt. They often had 6-7 AFL players in the team and still only won 7 games, so they're almost an argument in favour of the Crows team being ordinary.

Cale Morton a former Claremont player is the son of Claremont legend Noel Morton who was told he had to play with East Perth this season upon his return from Melbourne where he was picked up by the Eagles.
Just wait when every player on a your club list who is AFL listed fronts up against you.
East Perth where in the bottom 3 for most of the season but started to gel in the second half of the season and stormed into the finals in the last two weeks of the season. They will only get stronger next season.
2000 - 02 the Royals were the host club for all Eagles players funny thing happened they won 3 premierships in a row!!!!
Think about it it could happen here!!!!!!!

Nah somehow you'll still manage to go broke.
And then you'll blame the standalone clubs.
