Yes one club dominating the competition. How will we possibly survive?

It's a bit easier to accept when it's a club doing it fair and square playing under the same rules as everyone else.

Hmmm, "fair and square" and "playing under the same rules as everyone else" I would have loved to have heard those words used by the $ANFL Directors as an argument against the Doug Thomas lead crusade to exile the Magpies to Ethelton.

Just so we're clear, that made the Magpies the only club without access to training facilities at its home ground right?

Wrong again UK, the Alan Scott centre didn't exist in 1997, so the Magpies were prevented from using the same training facility under Western Grandstand that they had been using for 100+ years.

Didn't Adelaide have a shed as their facilities in the early days? No wonder those Eagles did so well in the early 90's.

It's remarkable what you'll argue about UK. Truly is.

Bassett says Crows/Port reserves will struggle to make the SANFL finals next year:

"If we're to look anything like we do this year we should be OK," said Bassett ahead of his side enjoying a rest in the first week of the finals.

"I still think the Crows and Port sides will struggle to make the finals and if they do make it they won't have much impact.

"I think with the Crows running around with four ruckmen ... They'd have (Jack) Osborn, (Ben) Dowdell, Angus Graham - some of those guys are going to have to play some other positions and I would have thought our defenders would run off those blokes reasonably well.

"Even with their midfielders, Mitch (Grigg) is up in their side and is a very good player.

"He'd be their (reserves) best midfielder and Mitchy is good but he's still not our best midfielder.

"But that's only my opinion, we'll find our more, who knows."

No idea what that first line says UK. I think you've written it in French.

When the Eagles were playing matches at Football Park, they didn't have to build new facilities at Woodville Oval. Same goes for South Adelaide who trained at Panther Park, before being GIVEN a multi-million Dollar Noarlunga facility at a peppercorn rent.

But like a (bull)dog with a bone, you keep searching for some minor technicality UK.

Playing in the destructive environment of the SANFL has really hindered Mitch's development.

Given they didn't pick him for three years I reckon the Crows selection committee need a stint in the reserves.

Laughable.

The Adelaide Crows will use the SAAFL as a player back-up source for their reserves team
by: Michelangelo Rucci From: The Advertiser September 12, 2013 2:53PM

ADELAIDE will be aligned to the SA Amateur Football League with its Crows reserves team after all.

Unsure of how many SANFL clubs will agree to release players to use as "top-ups" when the Crows are short of AFL-listed players for their reserves team, the Adelaide Football Club has opted to use the SAAFL as its other back-up source.

Crows football operations chief Phil Harper says Adelaide expects to name 16-20 players in its first SANFL squad on November 1.

"If it is up to the SANFL clubs to decide if they want to offer their players to us (as top-up players)," said Harper. "If there are not enough from the SANFL clubs, the amateur league is our other option."

Adelaide expects its first SANFL group to start training from November 6. In season, these "top-up" players would train for one hour every Friday with the Crows state league unit. All other training would remain with their SANFL or amateur clubs.

If an amateur league player represents the Crows in the SANFL league competition he can earn up to $400 a game.

Adelaide had threatened to field its Crows reserves in the SAAFL - playing all games at Thebarton Oval - had it not won the vote to enter the SANFL league competition next year.

Shows you the real level of their seriousness doesn't it. They insist on having all their AFL boys 100% under one roof for any possibility of success. But as for the SANFL 'team', oh, an hour a week's service from a rag-tag bunch of ammos should do the trick.
"A no vote from any club means there is some sort of risk involved in our entry into the competition not working," Steven Trigg.

So not only is it going to gift its own players not worthy of SANFL League football a game its going to gift players deemed not good enough/too lazy or have other commitments a game of SANFL League Football

Yep Good logic Mr Trigg. How do you keep your job?

What a JOKE!!!

How much value is now placed on playing League Footy in SA??
All those pre-2014 that busted their arse to 'make the grade' - their games are worthless now.
The Crows are 'gifting' ammos 'League Status' - I assume they will be counted as having played SANFL League games.

Integrity?
Compromise?
