Port's new recruit Josh Thurgood is one of the weirdest looking footballers i have seen. Please someone post a pic.

Jason Eagle will be a very handy pickup for West. Was easily the best forward in Sunraysia last year. There may be one or two more following him to West from Mildura.

bulldogproud, if you've seen him play can you tell us a bit about him? Is he a leading forward, a one-on-one marking type? Fast, slow?

From what I saw of Jason (three matches) I would describe him as a fast-leading forward who can take a good grab for his size and has a long accurate kick.

Strewth, looking at the ins, Westies are becoming more victorian than a Charles Dickins novel.

Apparently this year they're "Doing it for Ted" and Andy Collins pre-match speech consists entirely of variations on the theme of "sticking it up 'em".

He moved back to Melbourne pretty much straight away after it was confirmed he wasn't staying on Port's rookie list. Trained with the Melbourne, i think Dean Bailey was considering picking him up in the pre season draft, but he didn't get selected.
