Totally agree,
I suggested this when the rumour first surfaced by Dittmar but got ridiculed for suggesting such a thing.
All it would take is one statement from the SANFL to end this!
Spot on.
The rumours have gone on for too long
The reason i thought the SANFL should have made a statement with the Dittmar rumour was
-i could be wrong but there was no talk of salary cap breaches about any club before this 'rumour' came from thin air
-instantly one half of the rumour was proven correct so the FACT is he was told something by someone in the know (there was no hint of west breaking the cap from anyone i know nor was suggested on internet forums)
-this wasnt the type of rumour that would increase the amount of listeners triple m have, if they were trying to do this they would have spread a rumour about the AFL.
-either way it would have taken the SANFL 5 minutes to send an email saying, we have audited Norwood for the 2012 season and there is no discrepancies, they are not under investigation. The SANFL stayed very very very quiet.
Apart from all the jokes and piss taking aside i hope Norwood are cleared of this. The SANFL cannot afford to get the public image that the comp is mickey mouse and whoever wins the premiership is cheating (such as sports like cycling, pakistan in the cricket etc etc) especially if the general public have some fact to make that assesment.
