Ever sold anything you didn't want?

Yeah but I didn't throw it out on the kerb first.

Neither did Glenelg, they kept him on their list.

But wouldn't let him play. Weird behaviour.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Not familiar with the rules of croquet. Can you get out in straight sets there too?

So does that mean that whilst he was surplus to requirements, he was still a registered Glenelg player?

I'm surprised the Bays 'promoted' Massie to the Ressies job. I thought he might have offered more by staying in that job for a few years and developing the kids as they come through, ready to play at league level. A ressies coach is probably the hardest job to fill and the least wanted job.

i think it is for two reasons

1, he'll have a lot of the same players from this years u/18's & therefore keeps the same stability

2, i'd think it also gives the league coaching box a 'new voice' with new or differing ideas

then again i could be wrong

They're fair reasons bayman but I was just trying to see it from a "whole of club" value perspective over a period of say 3years+, rather than one year in and then gone. Also, they don't have a replacement coach for the u/18s as yet. The Bays have been pretty good in underage comps in recent years IIRC, so I thought they'd want to carry on with that by having some stability there for a while. I guess time will tell.

as someone mentioned earlier, glenelg are talking to jordan mcmahon, i believe he's also had an offer to captain-coach a team in tasmania, however with his child living in adelaide it would appear glenelg are strong favourites to gain his signature

i wouldnt think his child living here would mean he would sign up given what happened with that relationship which was made public at the time
