My understanding is that, after the merger, Magpies members will have no voting rights in relation to their club. I wonder if they will accept that.

FFS North sharing some admin staff between clubs in different sports is slightly different to rewriting the entire South Australian football landscape to prop up a failed business.

With the merge the Maggies probably have 5 years, without it they will have 2-3 so f....d if i know.

This is what I think will happen. The Power cant sustain themselves at the moment but are now going to take on a SANFL club. IN a couple of years they will say "it's all too hard" and shut down the SANFL operation now that they've got all the assets.

Anyways, the vocal supporters got what they wanted, now they'll have to find something else to bag out the "nest of vipers" about.

The key concern for me was whether the Power would have a reserves team in the SANFL so I was pleased to see this in the AdelaideNow article: "The Magpies will not be used as a Power reserves team".
