Blasphemy … Vinnie is a legend!

Must also be jealousy as Vinnie is the only umpire ever to have a fan club :YMPEACE:

Makes sense Campo's old man was a boundary umpire, certainly explains Scotty's aversion to a hard ball get

No way he does. He's only played against boys and didn't play at all in 2023, fair bit of development to go there.

Port Adelaide has added small forward Benny Barrett to its list as a category B rookie.

Barrett, a member of Port Adelaide’s Next Generation Academy thanks to his Papua New Guinea heritage, is a livewire forward who boasts blistering pace and creativity in the forward 50.

His agility, electric speed and crafty ground level work make him a dangerous threat around goals and he can often be seen bursting out of packs and weaving his way through opponents.

When not at Alberton, the Happy Valley product split his time between South Adelaide’s under 18s and reserves sides, averaging 17 touches and kicking seven goals for the Panthers.

He also played two games for South Australia during the year, featuring among the best players in both games.

Yeah he looked all but set to go to his home club but has decided he will go back to the Eagles.

Potentially Nick Hayes to return as well but a bit of work to go there

Great news for Ned!!!

Extremely talented family!!

Faced Lachy back in the day, left arm quick for Pekina. No fun playing them in those days with Mick Redden charging in at the other end.
Some great post match memories at the Pekina pub though...

Likewise. At least you came in during the middle order! I had the pleasure of facing them opening. Mike aimed plenty at the ribcage. Pekina pub legendary. Open and shut and then re-opened again quite a few times in my tenure up there.

Yes, heard from a reliable source connected to the club that Nick was a fair chance of returning.
Just need some quick on-ballers now!!

Yeah Nick has to tie up a few things back in Victoria.

From my understanding if he can do that quick enough and be part of the pre-season with the Eagles then that's where he will play. If things take a bit longer than expected its a fairly big chance he will end up at his home team.

Massive in for the Eagles. The best Eagles player over the last decade. Would be huge to get brother Nick, too.

Any word on Mitch Hardie? I think he would cap off a very good off-season of recruiting for the Eagles if he's available and solve that need for pace through the midfield.
