Salary Cap Issues - Norwood, West & Port

All discussions to do with the SANFL

Interesting No official from NFC has publicly refuted the story.

From memory they had denied the story and threatened Dittmar with litigation within hours the first time this story broke.

Will Norwood pres have to make a public apology via MMM like he made Dittmar.

It seems only fair

well, well, well - anyone willing to believe this story now? As stated, football manager and therefore rest of club will be very nervous, as they have been caught red-handed for a serious stuff-up and been busted doing so in a very embarrassing way. suggest investigation will be more around what else they may have done in additon to the incident that have been caught red-handed for.

Congrats North Adelaide = 2012 Premiers ... and South made the final 5 again!!

Looks like the new Sheriff's posse has come back with some outlaws and their ill-gotten gains
If any of this alleged breaches comes to light and Norwood are guilty, then as Premier they would be whacked very very hard I'd imagine to set the standard in this new era.
It would be a bad look for the SANFL having had the two Grand Finalists not even close to playing by the rules for 2012.
What happened at West was a stuff up from the get go and reeks of incompetance.
I'm not sure the same could be said at Norwood if the alleged breaches are right, it would appear they have gone down the path of the Cheetahs of West Lakes and set out to achieve a desired outcome in secret.
And what of the West End chimney? Could it now be turned into a gallows :o

So if Norwood have the flag taken off them, then West must be the winners?

Unless of course the fine they have already received is increased to include the loss of the premiership won by default.

North are no chance.

That would be hilarious to see at Prospect this season.
You could even have a raising of the premiership flag.

LOL I think you know what it means, but just in case ...

Means (for example) a club could miss declaring an expense that should be included in the Cap, and even if that expense keeps you under the cap, it's still deemed a breach for not having abided by the rules and list it as a contribution under the cap.

Just looking for clarification ;)

But, seriously, why wouldn't Norwood have admitted to this earlier, rather than go through the denial from last time?

And...where's Topsy?

I think Norwood should be stripped of their 2012 flag and it be awarded to the team that finished 2nd at the end of the minor round - the finals are obviously cancelled as the 2 teams that played in the GF both stand accused.

And if Norwood are found guilty of salary cap breaches they should be sent to the WAFL.
We used to be good :-(
