You think your teams are so dominant and would flog every other side in this comp yet you all go running 100 mile an hour in the opposite direction !
Week as piss SANFL clubs, you must know that North Ballarat and Williamstown would cut you to bits.
Go and hide in your corner with your little 9 team league.Sit back and watch the AFL money dry up going into the SANFL.
Mr AFL wont put up with little brother telling them what they will and wont do !

Yes, the VFL is heading in the right direction? Must have been a great atmosphere at the GF this year, did they get 5,000 people? The AFL has screwed that comp.

You have a club, and a great club in North Ballarat, won last year's flag to make it three in a row and you seriously think your comp is heading in the right direction?

Unless I've misread your post DW, wouldn't your comment mean the SANFL is worse given Centrals dominance?

Sorry, wasn't very clear with that.

Vic Spy in an earlier post suggests that the SANFL competition has a problem due to Central's dominance.
Then he later spruiks about how great his club is - having won three premierships in a row.
Kind of deflates his initial post doesn't it?

See below:

Yes there is Centrals Dominance.

But in the past 9 years
- they have played 6 different opponents in the grand final
- West 03
- Eagles 04, 05, 06
- North 07
- Glenelg 08
- Sturt 09
- Norwood 10

Also in the last 5 years 8 of the 9 teams (West the exception) have played in at least one finals series.

That to me makes for an interesting competition.

I mean if centrals were glenelg they wouldnt have won all those GFs they wouldve lost them, then would centrals be classified as dominating the comp

They use it to get form and fitness into players. I went to a collingwood game last year and a certain head coach was telling the vfl coach where he wanted certain players playing and how much game time they get. Collingwood was up by 4 goals in the last qtr and this head coach was yelling from the grandstand to his afl players to come off the ground. They didnt give a **** whether they won or lost and this makes the comp great how?

Buddha Hocking and Darren Trevena tried that crap at Norwood early this year. As far as I know, it was the first time and the last time. They were busted and denied it, but at least it didn't get a foothold in the league.

I would have thought they'd be able to clarify things, such as wearing jumpers with their sponsors on them. Wouldn't Westies want this clarified? Or are they playing without knowing the terms?

Interesting that Russell and other interstate clubs talk about development of players and them showcasing in front of AFL recruiters....no one has said they want to win the thing!

Sort of tells you how it is seen by some clubs, and why our successful clubs dont want to be involved.

Congrats to westies on taking the initiative and having a go in this new comp. Who knows, they may win the national comp next season, attract some recruits due to their success and then have a real go at the SANFL flag in 2012. plenty of potential if given a chance

Spot on Doggah as i have said before lets have an authentic national Aussie Rules Comp and not the AFL ( VFL ) crap or the Premier league which is a badly conceived farce and sham but i guess there are a lot of gullible people around that have been seduced by the AFL in watching insipid, sanitised, pretty football what a joke , spot on with your comments as well Cutterman, today some of the younger footy followers have been conned and duped by the AFL, however most of us older footy followers who have been around and watching footy for over 40 years know better, so as far as i am concerned you can shove the Premier League where it fits.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.
