Perhaps, but I fail to see what your facts and figures are achieving in here? You appear to be well versed and know the numbers, but seriously, this endless debate really achieves nothing at all. Unless of course you are a financial advisor to the SANFL / PAFC / PAMFC or the AFL and are able to use these numbers to help.

What is your aim in all of this, what do you hope this thread to result in? Do you think your endless debate on here will be dug up by the powers at SANFL house and used for future forecasting?

Really Booney? I've seen no evidence of any information beyond what can be cut and pasted from a simple Google Search. And certainly no ANSWERS to even the simplest of questions, such as my inquiry as to the AMOUNT the PAFC generates into the SANFL coffers each year.

No, if the SANFL can't generate a Profit from the AMOUNT of revenue poured into their coffers each year by the PAFC, then they definitely need to be put under the blowtorch!

FFS North sharing some admin staff between clubs in different sports is slightly different to rewriting the entire South Australian football landscape to prop up a failed business.

How long until the Power need to save 1.36 million a year from their budget?

How stupid are the SANFL. How can 2 bad businesses in the magpies and the power be merged and all of a magic sudden bingo - you guessed it - we have one profitable business. Maybe the SANFL should give the AFL licence back and forget both the pies and avert the power failure sure to happen from this ridiculous financial business proposal. The AFL are sitting back laughing at our gulability. The SANFL really are not very smart are they, surely not.

ONE PORT ADELAIDE PROPOSAL APPROVED

The SANFL League Directors tonight voted unanimously in favour of the One Port Adelaide proposal.

SANFL Executive Commissioner Leigh Whicker said the administrative merger between the Port Adelaide Football Club and the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club would benefit both entities as well as the wider South Australian football community.

“The Directors agreed that the One Port Adelaide proposal would result in a financially stronger Port Adelaide Football Club, an underpinning of the Magpies’ future in the SANFL competition and a financially stronger SANFL,” Mr Whicker said.

“All of these results are critical for the ongoing prosperity of football in South Australia, for which the SANFL is responsible.

“It is now up to the members of the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club to vote on necessary changes to their club’s constitution at a special meeting tomorrow night to allow Port Adelaide to become one.”

Mr Whicker and representatives from both the Power and Magpies will discuss the proposal in detail at a media conference at Alberton Oval tomorrow (Tuesday, November 16) from 11am.
