Crouch willl probably play with Rostrevor as thats where he came from. Dunno about Nicholas, maybe another SANFL club will look at him.

As there doesn't seem to have been any official announcement by the club could you tell us where you got this from and maybe provide some proof. Sorry but I trust no one when it comes to rumours and we went through this before over another player

STURT ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNINGS

The Sturt Football Club is pleased to announce that Ian Perrie, Scott Mcglone and Benet Copping have committed to the Club for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

Ian Perrie played 110 games for the Crows and 75 SANFL games for both the North Adelaide and South Adelaide Football Clubs.

‘’Ian brings 10 years of experience in the AFL to the Club and we look forward to tapping into that knowledge. We also look forward to seeing him line up alongside Chambers, Herring and Gum, which will form a potent forward line” said Duane Massey, Football Operations Manager.

Scott has played 59 games with South Adelaide since being recruited from the Sydney Swans and won South Adelaide’s Best & Fairest Award for the 2007 Season.

“Scott will provide excellent run and drive from either the half back or wing and with Scott’s outstanding skill level we will gain maximum advantage from his possessions” said Duane Massey, Football Operations Manager.

Benet Copping was drafted by Fremantle in 2004 and has played senior WAFL footy over the last three seasons; Benet was part of the 2003 U17 Premiership at Sturt.

“Benet is a tall, athletic defender capable of playing on a variety of opponents. We look forward to seeing him develop into a strong defender in the SANFL” said Duane Massey, Football Operations Manager.

Excellent news!

Must be some real trouble at Noarlunga if their B&F walks out.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Well done Sturt .. Obviously not the biggest of secrets, but I'm sure Double Blue fans will still feel better for the confirmation - One would think they would be thereabouts again in 08.

Steven Doyle to the Legs in 2008, and might not be alone in coming from Sydney, but Vogels wont be one of them instead leaning towards West Adelaide.

I wonder what the attraction to West Adelaide for Vogels would be? Maybe Matthew Nicks has had a word in his ear, thats all i could think of, cant think off the top of my head any ex Swans players at W Adel.

Plenty of salary cap to play with would be my guess.

The best thing is it adds to out depth - Benet makes Sarge look small !!!

Would still like us to get another midfielder though - altough Hurley will be handy !!!
