Ahh fair enough, must admit when I saw it that it was only sitting on a table, it certainly wasn't 'RUNNING' so I doubt it's authenticity anyway. ;)

The one I have was doing the same thing, it was just there on a table doing nothing.

Today, I was eating lunch in a popular local hotel, a scotch fillet burger, sumptuous.
As I sat, chewing the second mouthful, my gaze caught a plastic bag, drifting in the breeze.
It passed a nearby park bench, and sitting on that bench was the running sheet.
At least I think it was the running sheet.
I stood, stunned, but my feet wouldn't take me any closer. As I finally collected my thoughts, I took a step towards the sheet, but as I did, the breeze caught it and it drifted into the distance.

I heard a rumour it was part of a lucky seat draw at AAMI Stadium today. The prize went unclaimed as the seat was vacant

Can confirm from a source at AAMI stadium this was the case, however, the prize was misplaced after being left near the photocopier, and subsequently left the building in a pile of "lost dog" notices printed out by a staff member's child.

Most likely a hoax.
As with all these phenomenae, the very moment they can be proven or confirmed is when things fall apart. Was it a coincidence that it got caught in a breeze just as you approached? I think not.
Remember to always look for the more plausible explanation.
My guess (and this is just off the top of my head) is that some mischievous child installed a remote controlled propellor in to some more durable material that merely looked as though it was a sheet of paper due to clever angling, he would have then disguised the propellor with a seriers of cameras that project the view from behind the propellors onto a uniform TV screen that covers the surface of the propellors, making them invisible to the undiscerning eye, like the car that Q invented for James Bond. Some simple noise cancelling device as used by some airconditioning factories would have completed the illusion that you were actually looking at a piece of paper just happening to blow about in a breeze.
It makes me laugh, I wonder how many others were taken in by this simple hoax!

The rediscovery of the running sheet caused the government to shut down SA Footy. This sort of information cannot be out in the public!

Seems like the AFL controls the ABC running sheet anyway:
