Given the shirt I reckon it might be Duff McKagan. Or Phil Heinrich.

KEN WHELAN LUNCHEON at BarZaar.
There is an official club luncheon at BarZaar this Friday 30th where Rick Davies is the guest speaker.
It has not been advertised until now because it was an invitation luncheon to Bequest Society members.
.

Isn't the bequest society a charity Centurion?
Aren't you drawing a bit of a long bow saying low interest from a charity group in the SFC amounts to Sturt fans not supporting their side?

sorry I couldn't respond from my Wedgie-imposed imprisonment but I would have thought that they would have opened it up to the public well before they did. Anywayz, from what I have heard, things turned out ok, with about 350 humans turning up anyway!

Dude.... we call them people. Live amongst us long enough and you'll pick up the lingo. ;)

Rumours are of a $450 K loss, not good if true.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Still can't believe the number of Sturt fans willing to be taken over by the Crows.

Sad.

The Sturt fans have got their eye on bigger fish than us. When talk is of 'beating West to the punch' to merge you know the game's up.

You have to wonder if the lack of accountability at Sturt, with little or no member input into the makeup of the Board, has had some kind of impact on how precipitous the financial position is.

As much as I despise responding to anything you say, I'm genuinely surprised by the meek acceptance of Sturt's fate and seeming inevitable slide towards being an AFL reserves team.

Funnily enough I thought this was an SANFL forum and the death of a club might warrant discussion, if that's considered trolling so be it.

Serious Questions for Sturt fans what was the actual income and expenditure for the club last year?

If they need to trim the budget is their reasonable room to move? West had expenditure of $2.8 Mill compared to other clubs expending $300 (Eagles) to $600 (Bays) K less - they have room to move in making cuts and still be competetive IMO.

Was Sturts expenditure at other clubs levels $2.2 - $2.5 therefore with a rumoured loss of almost $0.5 Mill the income levels are that low in order to balance the books their competetiveness is compromised?

Surprised their annual report isn't up on their website yet.

There's nothing left to trim. Could always do an insurance job and burn down the grandstand.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

So what, with a $450 K loss income was 1.7-1.8 Mill??
