Eagleton? He gets beaten up every week. Not great form for a thug. Only got sent off because the umpires have no idea.

not a smart thug either, starts fights & gets beaten up! (take it easy, only joking) I would say that James Gowans has a shorter fuse than Chris.

I can assure you Chris didn't endear himself to the Rooster faithful sitting near the scoreboard early on in the game last Saturday ;)

CENTURION wrote:you draw the line at deliberate, dangerous & totally unnecessary contact. simple really. once again, once you have a player in a tackle, where he can't either dispose of the ball or break free, there is nothing further required to get an umpire's adjudication. It will either be a bounce, play on, or holding the ball. By slinging the player, you have now placed yourself in a position where the ball can break free anyway BUT will possibly injure the opponent &/or place the slinger on report.

The problem there is the umpire takes too long to call for a bounce. At the first sign of the ball being trapped, call for a ball up - do it quickly so you don't get 15 or so players around it and move on.

Reckon the "good record" deduction may apply after five years, unless there's a local variation

Yes, there is a local variation, with 7 years being the carry over period:

Ah, righto, thanks for that.

Interesting.

No worries...

Whilst the SANFL have adopted the points system, similar to that of the AFL, for this season, it is not exactly replicated and this is an example of that.

More like the Charlestown Chiefs.

Too bad the Gowans weren't triplets, or there wasn't another brother. Could have been something like this.

Scary shit is, they DO have a 3rd brother! They keep him in the attic & feed him fishheads.

You need to see a chiropractor bunton to relign your spine because of the huge chip on your shoulder.
