I HATE going to Woodviille, there is no character or atmosphere (get your footy budget here), it feels very amateurish to me, sorry. Love going to Norwood, Alberton rocks over on the eastern wing, Richmond is ok, never anyone there though, Noarlunga also amateurish (cars around the boundary? reminds me of a Waybacks v Tasmans match), Unley is pretty good but you can't walk around the oval, Glenelg? who wants to go to a palindrome!! Nah, I like The Bay, only because of Daryl Rady & John Seebohm, Love Elizabeth, of course and last of all The Fire Trap, Prospect. If you like crooked ovals, pigeon poo, choking chooks & rickety old grand-stands, then this place is ok. You can get fit at Prospect, just walking from your car to the oval and back.

I agree with your comments about Woodville. I remember in the old days going there it never felt like you were going to a league game with the lack of atmosphere and vast open spaces. I am surprised about your comments regarding parking at Prospect. I have always thought that Prospect was about the easiest place to get a park, but I guess I know where to park. I have always found Norwood and Unley the worst places for parking.

Prospect is the same as Norwood, Glenelg, Unley, Woodville, Alberton, Richmond, you have to park in side streets. Unless you get to these venues at least 1 hour before the game, you are up for a mini trek.

I like to think all of our grounds have a good local feel and character about them in their unique ways.

Footy Park - Great atmosphere for the big games, great playing surface. Bit too empty for SANFL games apart from Grand Final

Adelaide Oval - Great mix of seating (lots undercover) and grass hills, crowd over 5000+ creates good atmosphere. Shame crowd can't come onto the ground at 1/4 and 3/4 time.

Elizabeth - Love it as a home ground lots of area for kids to kick the footy and night games are fantastic there. Great meals at Grand Central too. Maybe need a little more sheltered area

Parade - Always good atmosphere plenty of good facilities, new lights are great and playing surface much better. Hate that brick wall on western wing though too close to playing field

Woodville - Great looking ground lots of green hills and usually very good playing surface. Lack of crowd and atmosphere there though

Thebarton - A good traditional oval with lots of potential if upgraded. Lights, toilets and facilities in general need work done to get up to standard

Glenelg - Fantasic oval for local footy always a good crowd with decent standing and sitting areas to view. Great clubrooms inside too. Toilets need some upgrades

Unley - Enjoy the tight crowd set up even though only half open and most facilities not too bad. Would be great to have more access around the eastern side get more people in

Richmond - Fantastic BBQ and good all round facilities for spectators. Lights are a great addition. Excellent clubroom set up. Bigger crowds there would be great.

Prospect - Has good character and a real local feel about it. Toilets and some facilities need upgrading and car parking can be a hassle

Alberton - Playing surface is usually good and a great venue to win at. Too much of a concrete jungle feel though

Noarlunga - Lots of space and thankfully a lot of shelter too. Good for a day out and fantastic clubrooms. Still looks a bit too open in the outer but cars better than leaving it as massive mounds with a total of 10 people out there looking lost.

All up we have some great venues in the SANFL to keep the interest for supporters each week wherever we play. Here's hoping it only continues to grow from here onwards!
