The earlier stats re: CD/WWT's finals appearances since 2000 tell a story of the seismic shift that occurred in SA footy with the 'AFL takeover'. The Dogs and the Eagles adapted better to the new environment - and certainly the WFC/WWT merger was a catalyst for our success - our W/Loss % leapt at from 20% to well over 60%.
As for the game - it was entertaining, and the crowd was in it. Coach Thomas was coaching from the boundary in the last 10 minutes as the Eagles kept at it.
