Heard a conversation from a pretty well-informed bloke on the weekend suggesting they are "broke". Hope it's not the case and on this occasion he's incorrectly informed.

Among most SANFL insiders, South's financial position has been dire for a while now. That's not from anyone at the club though, so hopefully it isn't the case. Can't afford for any of our clubs to be scraping pennies

There's three or four clubs scraping pennies
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

CEO Neill Sharpe issued a statement towards the end of last season stating the club was looking at another significant deficit. However unlike previous years I find it odd/concerning that no annual report was issued to all members following the AGM as per the norm :-k Either that or I missed the email..

The club went public asking for donations to help cover some of the junior footy expenses.

When you are drawing 1600 people to home games despite going undefeated there, have a small membership base and the bistro/pokies are in decline, things aint rosey..
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Sign of the times, all clubs will be anxiously awaiting the dividends from the footy park sale and will be on drip feed from the SANFL
