Voss and Hird but they were brownlow medallists and very good players.
However the last time some hack who played a few AFL games out of a back pocket, became a coach without being in the system as a coach would be along time ago.

Wasn't he an assistant under Terry Wallace and took over for him when he lest before the last game of the season?

I think Bassett definitely is good enough to do ok in an AFL system, just depends if his ego and "that club isn't good enough for me" attitude gets in the way or not

After 'the coach who must not be named' left, Cotts was the first to turn it all around for Norwood.
He had immediate results and his positive ground work seemed to lay the successful foundations for Bass.
I have absolutely no problems with Jarrod Cotton's abilities as a coach, he stepped up to the plate when
it was 'emergency stations'. We had no one and were going nowhere, but Cotts achieved wins from the get-go.
What has he done wrong in your estimation mate ?

No doubt had the passion but dont think he had much substance to his coaching.
Did an ok job as a fill in but im not convinced he would of succeeded had he got the top job.
Feedback from a couple of players wasnt flattering either
I think he makes a good assistant but thats about it
