can't We celebrate Our 50th year? Last year's special guernsey was a fundraiser for Novita, is that ok too?

Well, when Glenelg get a major sponsor that supports them for 25 years, we will more than happily let them wear a different jumper too! ;)

Besides, it may be the last time we are able to honour Holden for their commitment.

Wouldn't be surprised if Salter doesn't play against Centrals, appeared to be a bit proppy, maybe a hamstring. Also, good possibility P. Stewart will go to Darwin.

It's well documented that clubs need additional income streams - and I reckon this is one good way of doing that. It allows the club to celebrate anniversaries etc, and gives the fans an opportunity to support the club in purchasing some unique memorabilia.

Not sure how much mark up there would be but if they sell a hundred or so it all adds up at the end of the year.

These types of special jumper sales would not really add real $$$ that a club could add as an additional income - it needs to be on going not just once or twice a year? For starters it costs the club's money to produce the jumpers so no matter how much they might be sold for, the profit would be very small and that also has to cover the costs of the jumpers supplied for the players to wear unless they are also sold on which happens from time to time. Given you only do these on special occasions how many would you expect to sell over to the same supporter / membership base?

Thats a prett good side, no surprise to see Henderson selected by the Crows he was a standout last week.

Also surprised to see Obst named he will be much needed but i wouldnt be surprised to see him not play.

Hewitt very lucky to retain his spot hopefully he pays back selectors and has a real crack this week and makes a good contest. He wouldnt want to have another shocker if Templeton kicks another few in the ressies.

F: Kane, Salter, Heinjus
HF: Hall, Ainger, Lewis
C: Jarrad, Rowntree, Goldsworthy
HB: Day, Thompson, Ellis-Yolmen
B: Raymond, Giuffreda, Sumner
R: Parry, Powell, Schwarz

INT: Blesing, Z. Fitzgerald, Culley, Muirhead, Joyce
IN: Blesing, Z. Fitzgerald, Culley
OUT: Stewart (Power)

Fitzgerald perhaps brought in as insurance against Salter if ferret is on the money. Blesing named after 40 possessions last week in the ressies. Looks like there might be rain and a lot of it. Central always seem to get off to a good start against us at Elizabeth and hold a 3-4 goal lead for most of the match (except last year when they belted us) with the Eagles threatening to get back in touch but not quite being able to. Will be important for the Eagles to be in front early.

Henderson named as first emergency for the Crows, with the game being at AAMI is there a slight chance he could actually play for the Dogs.

When you are doing them every 2nd week it seems to lose its significance.

Not unhappy to see Centrals wearing a commemorative guernsey for this game as I think the last time we beat them at Elizabeth in 2004 was when they wore their 40th anniversary guernsey.

How does Hewett keep getting picked ??? his stats last week.
Kicks 2
Marks 2
Dropped chest marks 4
Ball went thru hands onto face 4

Jacob templeton would be a ten time better selection. My only hope is Henderson plays for us and Hewett is dropped back to the reserves.

Wouldn't that make this our 49th year then, or 2004 our 41st year? Have I got the maths right there?
