X2 or maybe it could be like reality tv, the coaches who miss out on the finals all box on with each other and the winner earns his team a wildcard 6th finals spot

Hope Roy can fight then, might be the only way the Dogs make the finals this year ;)

Or, if rumour is true, against Steven Trigg either.

Two men having a blue in the privacy of a race, so what, leave it alone SANFL. Just another excuse to extract money from Clubs actually contributing to the game.
Hope the two coaches " get their stories right ". Shake hands and move on ..... until next time.
Good for the game will add a thousand spectators to the next game at Richmond.

Problem is, when physical contact is made between coaches, it is not only unacceptable, but not a good look for the League. Yes, it got and is getting some publicity, but not neccessarily the type the competition ideally wants...

I would suggest a concern of the SANFL's is that this could be seen as acceptable and carry over into kid's footy with Dad's coaching, etc, etc...

I think justice will prevail for all parties involved and the appropriate penalties will be handed out accordingly...

Not sure the incident and subsequent publicity will ensure 'thousands' extra to the next game, that clash is in another 11 weeks and all will probably be forgotton then by the general SANFL public.

May add some extra spice and entice a couple extra hundred fans, perhaps.

The so called contact was not seen by the public so has nothing to do with anyone unless one of the Clubs makes a compalint.
Shows the public there is passion at local level so come along and have a look.

And therein lies the reason this is going to the tribunal tonight. I think West want Bode dealt with and have acted as such!

From the vision I saw on the news it clearly shows Collins using hand gestures towards the Norwood players making their way towards the race. Bassett is also shown sprinting towards Collins in the foreground of the same vision.

For me this started on the ground in full public view which continued in the tunnel. Now correct me if I'm wrong the Grandstands at Norwood have some ventilation built into the brickwork which can allow the public to hear and get an obscured view of what goes on in there.

I would suggest that this has happened, hence Bode's requirement to be present at the tribunal this evening...

If the allegations floating around are found to be true, then there is more than 'nothing' in it. Will be very interesting to see the outcome from tonight's hearing, on a couple of levels.

Is this CDFC Club Official BP speaking or is it SANFL Media Personality BP happily spreading internet tittle tattle?

Personally I wouldn't have an issue with this kind of behaviour if it was consistent over nine clubs but sadly only eight clubs seem to get the treatment. :?

I wouldn't wonder. Bassett would win hands down.

In fact, my official ranking of coaches going the biff:

1. Bassett
2. McGregor
3. Massie
4. Francou
5. Godden.
6. Maloney
7. Laird
8. Collins
9. Fuller

Francou would smash McGregor and Massie, I'd probably back him against Bassett too.
This is fun, its like my Dad could beat up your Dad.

Agreed re Francou - he would make light work of all of the above, though Wedgie - Maurie would still rule the roost with his son...

C'mon everything written on a bevy of internet forums by anonymous posters is 100% rock-solid, cross my heart and hope to die, gospel truth. Well maybe just 80% of it....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Really? Do you have that much of an issue with Phil that you'll castigate him over passing on someone else's view of an incident we're all talking about?

Quote, "Bode should cop a heavy penalty for punching an opposition coach in the head from behind in which most would call a cowardly attack." Unquote.
If this is true, goodbye Bode.
