Castree- nephew?? Of Rick MacGowan has that same knack of finding the footy but has alot more speed and a beautiful long kick, huge potential imho
Sam is not a Rookie at the Power, he was taken at pick 3 in the Pre-Season draft and is a full listed player, able to be picked for senior AFL selection from Round 1.
Brock Castree is indeed the nephew of Rick MacGowan, but much like Uncle Rick, lacks any genuine foot speed. Still can find the ball and uses it pretty well. AFL recruiters are well aware of Brock but perhaps just a little concerned over his lack of genuine leg speed.

O'Sullivan was pretty good for the Roosters against Port last weekend, leading all stats winners on ground. Westhoff didn't have quite us much impact.

Never even heard of a third of he side.
Compare it to the same side 5 years ago and it looks awful IMHO.
Or has the standard of the SANFL dropped so much that even though a side can compare horribly to a side of 5 years ago it can still be regarded as a strong side in 2013?
Even the side that got flogged in the first semi looked better on paper IMHO.
Mind you Norths side of that game looked a hell of a lot better than their side will look in Round 2 too.
Yes that 1st semi final side did look stronger/better but....
they got flogged. well and truly..
I wont comment on the standard of the comp untill a game has been played.
Personally, I think the young kids will be really hungry now some of the older blokes have departed.
Come on you doggssssss
Also the big improvement for Centrals from that finals side will come from the players we already had.
-O'Hara and Dutschke did stuff all pre season last year and continued to get injured throughout the year
-Obst was playing his 2-3rd game back from a reco
-Hayes had barely played all year
-supposedly the players who were behaving badly have now gone.
-looking like we might see a fair bit of Ian Callinan this season best player in the comp at full flight imho
The players who people may not have heard of that I think will be very handy SANFL players by the end of the year are
Colqhourn- been named in the Powers best in each trial game, is only rookie listed and with one spot available at this stage the dogs should see a fair bit of him
Castree- nephew?? Of Rick MacGowan has that same knack of finding the footy but has alot more speed and a beautiful long kick, huge potential imho
