Alot more Central fans than Bay fans today!!!!

Sad day personally but great to see then Dogs win a real piss easy game. Laughable really that the bays will play finals.

Stoked 'my man" Obrien played a cracker.

Football is just a game who cares anyway.

I'd be more concerned at the number of Bays fans that turned up if I was you. Your support was pathetic considering it was a home game.

What was the crowd when the Bays played at Elizabeth this year.

1720 for a 3rd vs 4th game is a real worry for the sanfl.

So Norwood v Central drew a bigger crowd....6353. ;)
Maybe Norwood Port don't have the biggest crowds .....for those of you who think it should always be a Norwood Port GF :)

Just saying...............

I dont think too many SANFL supporters are in a position to criticise Glenelg on their crowds this year.

They are one of only three clubs to have an increase on 2011's total up 5.2%. (Norwood 4.1% & Eagles 8.5% the others).

South are line ball (-1.3%) but will likely fail to make it a home crowd increase for 7 straight years.

The other five clubs all have decreaes greater than 10% on the 2011 total figure.

Exactly. It was your home ground and the away team had more supporters there.

Surely only 600 more people at a game with 2nd v 4th would be more of a concern, since these 2 teams are suppose to have alot more members & supporters :?

2300 is a definate concern for a 2nd v 4th match.

Biggest concern with the North vs West crowd is both clubs have been starved of success in recent history and are finally looking like being reasonable sides this year. Normally at that point you have that intial burst of excitement which leads to the begginning of the 'bandwagon'. Also both clubs are reasonably close in location as well so distance shouldnt have been a factor for either set of supporters.

Almost certain that there will be a crowd of less than 1000 at an SANFL game by the end of the year. Especially if there is a few dead rubbers in the few rounds with bad weather conditions. Nominees being the Sturt vs Eagles clash, South vs North or Central vs South games.

Yeah right...

It was a poor crowd, but with our lack of Sat arvo home games these days I think we have got used to doing others things in that timeslot.

Jeezuz. what a lame post game discussion thread this is.

yeah... so not many bay followers turned up. well **** me! Hardly surprising.
Glenelg are ordinary. They are Centrals bitches. Crap weather, the game was on TV, also an AFL blockbuster involving crows on the tube...blah blah.

I wonder how many dogs fans would be turning up to games if the two club's form over the past 10 or so years were reversed.
hmmm?

Are there any other sanfl discussion sites on the net?

FFS, your mob played in a Grand Final just a few years back....and if you ask most people, should have won the flag in 2008 and 2009!

Yep! exactly. and what did we win? ****!
There is allot of heartbreak and very little reward being a Glenelg diehard.
And we still usually get bigger crowds at home & away games than CD do.
