Westies have won 2 of the last 3 against Central, for me Bloods by 19 points
July 11th 2012....

West to play well early with the lead changing several times in the first 3/4's.

Centrals to kick away with the last 4 goals to win by 25-35 points, in somewhat of an 'upset'.

The home crowd will get them home. Toot Toot.

In recent years Dogs are almost unbeatable at home coming off a loss. I think that perhaps Sturt are the only team this century, to have beaten the Dogs at Elizabeth to give them two losses in a row. Anyone able to verify this?
In that context a West win would be an upset, and that's what I think will happen. A mid year blip for the Dogs and Westies by 18 points.

The only time that the dogs have lost at Elizabeth coming off a loss this century was 2005. Eagles beat Central at Adelaide in round 5 then lost to Norf in round 6 at Elizabeth.

Okay, thanks for putting me straight there D4E. I think I got the event mixed up with a late in the season win we had out at Elizabeth one year, which was also considered improbable at the time.
But wins against the Dogs on their home turf are as rare as an Unley resident sympathetic to footy at Unley Oval, let alone winning there after the Dogs are coming off a loss. I think the Bloods might just achieve that, adding a little prestige to their season 2012 campaign.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Good call. West has the second best rebound rate in the competition, rebounding 77.6% of their opposition's 401 inside 50s (behind Norwood's 77.8%)...

Really???

Their defence was still fairly good today considering that Centrals racked up 54 inside 50s and had 74% of them rebounded. West's attack was terrible on the other hand.
