NSW looking good so far, they're defence has been solid and they've looked very dangerous when they've had possesion. Queensland trying hard and fighting hard to get back into it. Cronk going off was a let down, the Blues are struggling to read his kicks, already crated a try after the Blues defence read the ball terribly off his boot.

Disagree, would score every day of the week if he wasnt been held.
Bet if if was up the other end it would of been a differant story.
Luckily scored whilst Cronk binned

Not with billy slater floating around.

Taken a battering tonight, looks a bit fatigued after a few big hits.

QLD look to have consolidated a bit, two NSW line drop outs in a row and Tate was very close to scoring then. NSW holding tight though.

It was pretty close in the end, QLD had a few decent opportunities to win it. Well done NSW, held on to level the series.

Ripper game three coming up after that. Nsw crowd pretty vocal at the end there but queensland crowd will be making noise for the next three weeks to match it.

Yes its a pity that the League bosses in their wisdom play games in Melbourne.
They got 45,000 at the Dome but they would have got 80,000+ if it was in Sydney.

83,000 there last night and the AFL don't even give the concept a go.

SA v Vic once a year every year and the other states can go and suck an egg.

Some of the guys who played last night will play tomorrow night, no carrying on about player welfare, acknowledge the honour and get on with it.

I have a theory on why it's successful in rugby league.

A regular nrl game is not very entertaining, which is proven by the lack of crowd.

A regular afl game is entertaining, and a gws v suns crowd would be a good result compared to a nrl game.

Every week the afl has a blockbuster match, with huge crowds. SOO AFL is not required, as the product is already at a very high standard.

Plus it saves us afl from a state v state circle jerk.

LOL i would suggest WA have just as much claim to play against either side as SA do, and based on H&A attendences they would get a bigger crowd!

The game in melbourne was a great idea and should be embraced. As 1 of the 56,000 strong crowd at etihad three weeks ago, it was great to see one of australia's true sporting spectacles live. The NRL would make a bucket load more cash by moving the game to melbourne and it also helps with the equality of the series with each state hosting a game each and the third on netraul territory. The only improvement i would suggest would be to make game 3 the game in melboure, making it a decider on equal terms if needed.
