OBVIOUSLY not as good as you think you might be..........................

We're actually BETTER than last year! We lost to North last year at Prospect by 33 points!

I drank with UK Fan too but he's still banned. ;)
It was funny asking Centurion when his ban ran out though as he knew the exact minute he could get back on.

Hmmm Bit of friendly advice- don't drink with retrobates. When this site is the next facebook it could cost you big time

From Robert Laidlaw's match report on CDFC website

"Central District pulled off a tight six point victory against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval on Saturday, in an exciting SANFL clash that featured 22 lead-changes, with scores tied seven times – three times in the last quarter"

I wonder what's the record for lead changes in a game, 22 seems huge?

Right, that makes more sense. I'm sure the paper said there were 3 lead changes in the last quarter. And if the Dogs were up at 3QT, then 3 lead changes would mean NA were ahead at the death, and that wasn't the game I saw.

There are three possible leads - North, Central or none

If the lead changes from North to no one (scores tied) ... that is a lead change for mine.

ie North led, now they don't.

If it changes from no one to Central ... that is a second lead change.

Just noticed the below on the NAFC website,

If anyone knows the identity of the persons concerned please pass on the message from the NAFC

Thank you

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the supporters who assisted an elderly gentleman on the Eastern side of the oval during the first quarter whilst help was on its way. We are unaware of your names, but hope this message reaches you (we believe you were Central District supporters).

Again, many thanks

Hope the man in question is doing well. Great to know that humanity doesn't care about club loyalty when someone needs help. I seem to recall a similar incident at Elizabeth a couple of years ago (a Glenelg match perhaps?) where the same event and outcome occured.

Where you perhaps thinking of the Stuart Banks story?

A few years ago at Elizabeth, Stuart - an older Dogs fan - suffered a heart attack in the 3/4 time break in a game against Norrth Adelaide, funnily enough. The Roosters Doctor help stabilise Stuey until the ambulance came (I think the break went a little bit longer than usual as the ambulance entered via the field to get easier access to the front of the grand stand) and she essentially saved his life.

( Sadly Stuart - a life long Central supporter - passed away earlier in the year :( )

Don't think so BP...

There was an elderly Glenelg supporter appeared to have a heart attack in the carpark, in the highschool. CPR was performed by some supporters, I believe Doggies fans...

was the day of the great storm, and Eddy's goal against the cyclone...

Jase is right BP, Stuart was a different day.
Seems games at Elizabeth can get quite exiting (something we doggies fans already knew)

(no disrespect meant to either gentlemen)

After the Glenelg game an elderly gentleman and his wife, both CDFC supporters who sat close to us in the stand, were walking back to their car in the high school carpark.
He collapsed and both CDFC and Glenelg supporters gave CPR and comforted his wife.
Unfortunately there was nothing they could do and he passed away.
His wife still comes to the games and sits close to us in the stand.

Yes, a tragic circumstance and my heart goes out to his wilfe whilst I pray he rests in peace. The confusion about him being a Glenelg supporter came because some wonderful Glenelg supporters assisted in keeping him warm until the ambulance arrived. Part of this included the use of a Glenelg scarf. As a result, many may have thought he looked like a Glenelg supporter.
