I've lived through this before in the 60's 70's and 80's and it is looking horribly familiar.

The premiership race is down to 7 based on last nights performances. AWFUL both sides.

I defended Matty Westoff against Norwood he has no chance, but last night no excuses he was rubbish, proven by Hardy went forward and was a LOT better option. The amount of times Westoff falls over in the marking contest is laughable.

Positives is the defence has looked pretty good so far. Marschall GUN you can build your defence around this bloke he is amazing. Collier looks to have the mongrel and size about him. They manned up very well and made West kick to contests which they would prefer not to.

If we can find a bloke that can take a mark and kick a goal we will be around the mark again.

Thank F**K we have South at home next week!

Bays and Doggies out of the race then?

I'm seriously amazed that West could have got up last night ... unless they changed that horrible defensive game plan.

Don't you just love selective quoting? If you were to read what's written, he actually wrote it shouldn't have been a free against West.

Was just about to say the same, no where does he whinge about free kicks against us, typical opposistion supporter from the last two or three years, can't say anything positive about there own sides, but love to bag the Dogs and our supporters

Sorry down to 6, West were junk, they were just the better of a very very very bad bunch.

Had a good laugh with the Westies supporters on the bar decking. Great banter all night with no one going to far. At point i think we were having a laugh amongst ourselves rather than watching 38 footballers play inside one 50m arc.

I'm not bagging your team or supporters having grown up 10 minutes from your football club.

May have been guilty of it in the past though.

It is a pity that Andy was not prepared to show that belief in his team.

Cheers

Looking at their list and their pickups this year (sure, they lost Morris and Silvester), I picked them to come 2nd, at least after the minor round, on the basis they might finally start to realise they have a decent list that can play decent, proper footy. They seem to score competently enough when they want to, and of course you can't play 100% attacking, flat-out footy all the time, but seems like they are playing the same old sh!t (though to be fair, the Eagles to do at times).

If we keep going at this rate, by the end of the season we'll have only won 9 of the last 13 flags. :(

Aerie are you taking the P155? On what I've seen so far this year I expect to be 0 - 8 after the first round is completed.

It's not guaranteed at all. South only need to kick 8 goals and more points than us and they will win.

Its a rare thing to see a Centrals supporter with lack of belief in their team.

Well done to West - they perservered for longer and deserved the win. Dogs struggling for forwards at the minute and need to resolve the deficiency if they are to maintain standards of the last 12 or so years.

Now maybe my eyes are going - but standing on the outer I found it difficult to pick player numbers out from the far side of the ground. And before I'm accused of being biased - it's no different at Elizabeth either.

Unless clubs are willing to install decent standard lights - just play in daylight I reckon :(

Anyone know if Neil Mottram played for Westies in the reserves game?

No, he didn't and I don't think he has played a game for the Bloods yet, apart from in the trial game period...
