So notwithstanding the different contexts, you stand by your original assertion that the ABC "jumped the gun"?

I guess that's your prerogative...

Glad he got the premiership he was chasing ;)

Yes, would have gotten that with his original club Im sure ;)
Good decision Eag's, who has always been mindful of the younger lads trying to work their way up also .. Thanks for giving it a crack.

Guess we will never know, thanks for the transfer fee though

He didn't get Norwood over the line, city reckon most can hazard a guess what west would have done with his services.

A diplomatic retirement statement drafted after discussions and negotiations within the club I would assume...
It was all a bit sudden to suggest the statement is entirely true.

Amazing coincidence that the story comes out, is refuted by Norwood and within a few days Eagleton retires. If the story was simply untrue as Norwood tried to make us believe then Eagleton would be playing out the season.

maybe Norwood assumed he would play out the season, but Eagleton spat the dummy about playing in the reserves, just as people first thought?

Would be frustrating for any club to happen to.

While you dont want players like that at your club, Eagleton would have been on reasonable coin, that could have been another midfielder recruited if they knew he was going to spit it by round 3.

Has there ever been such a contrast where a club has things running so well on field yet off field the club is a bloody shamble!

Yep, but the inverse - Woodville, well run off the field but a shambles on it....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Does his massive contract still count towards this seasons salary cap? Or is it just for match payments actually made?

Im only guessing but i would say anything that has already been paid to Eagleton would count towards this seasons salary cap. If he was on a pay as you play basis or performance based rewards then that wont count as he wont be paid that.

Any truth in the rumour Eagleton refused to be associated with anything to do with Norwood after this video came out on the weekend?
