Centrals lack of key forwards (maybe just Havelberg), and an inexperienced defence is a concern. As it has been all year, yet we've managed to win. I'd like to continue with my woeful tipping record and pick the Eagles by 24 points.
Come on U Dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will win because We can gut run, have great structures, a brilliant press & don't play bruise-free footy!! Don't you just LOVE this year's cliches?

Looking forward to a good game next week, Centrals have had the wood on us this year but they have been 3 pretty close games with that trademark Dogs purple patch getting them over the line. The clubs have built up a pretty good rivalry over the last decade so it's good to get back there to challenge the benchmark side.

Just noticed on the Go Eags and U Dogs poster the league have put out the ticket prices for next week - $30 for Adults, $18 for concession $8 for kids and $60 for a family.....maybe this more than the fact that its another Central v Eagles GF is going to turn people off going, especially if you were a neutral supporter. If the Eagles weren't playing I certainly wouldn't be paying that price to go when i could see the game on a bit of delay for free on the TV. Maybe a lower entry price might only bring in an extra few thousand people but thats an extra few thousand people who may buy over priced food and drink so they still win.......thoughts???
Trust the process.

No interest now and definately wont watch but Centrals are the best side by a mile and I can see them winning by 10 goals plus.

I anticipate this will be a closer game than most people expect. While Centrals have won all three minor round matches, the biggest margin was 19 points. The dogs will be hungry to atone for 2006, while the Eagles will be looking to win another flag from Centrals to help close the Grand Final gap between the clubs.

I'm looking forward to the game, and I'd strongly encourage any neutrals to head out and watch what will be an entertaining match.

There can only be one winner though, and naturally I'll be tipping Centrals, and they'll win by 18 points to make it Premiership number 10.

Interesting stat, Centrals have never won a premiership by having a clean sweep against their Grand Final opponent (the other two years they had a sweep going into the Grand Final - 1996 and 2002 - they lost to Grand Final).

Still a very long way out, but weather forecast is a bit iffy. 22C, but possible showers (1-5 mm) and wind picking up a bit (http://www.weatherzone.com.au/sa/adelaide/west-lakes). Which side would be favoured by trickier conditions, if any?

Dunno who to barrack for this week YET
IF I have a bet I will barrack for that team
If I dont bet I wont know until prob after 10 minutes in the first quarter who to barrack for
If its man to man, I hope the Eagles win
If the Eagles play a flooding defence , I will support Centrals

I think this will be closer than anyone expects. Selection will be interesting. Will Central pull the smokey with Schell. What will happen at Eagles selections, Will Greiger or Rowntree come back in.

Not much constructive that I'll be able to put in this thread, but anything less than a ten-goal Centrals victory would be an absolute shock.

Well done to WWT for getting this far, and their only hope is that there will be very limited public expectation of achieving anything, but they will lose.

Dont think to many people are saying this is going to be a blowout.

Either team is capable on their day and both have reasons why they can and will win.
