If this was to go ahead it's imperative some sort of deal with Qantas / Virgin happen. As far as seats go they can only sell how many seats that are available. If they blocked off seats for footy teams like they do in the AFL ( most Perth flights are full too), then it's easy.
A 737-800 can be upgraded to a 767 etc etc....

Buggered if I know, but a couple of times Ive gone up there they have used a bigger plane (which probably goes onto Asia), the one that has a 2-4-2 seat configuration.
Virgin dont fly up there.
