So what can we expect this week? I'm thinking about 12K as things hot up a bit and more is on the line.

Hopefully we dont see more at the Adel Utd trial than at the Footy

Still think the first 2 weeks of the finals should be at a neutral SANFL ground, look at last week no SANFL or AFL game on Saturday arvo.

We have a number of grounds that are relatively central and more likely to attract fans than travelling down to AAMI.

Saturday South Adelaide v Glenelg at Richmond stand alone would get 6-7k IMO and be a brilliant atmosphere.

Norwood v Eagles at Prospect would get similar, if not more on the Sunday.

Being on different days there would be plenty who would go to both. You are more likely to get neutrals going to the local grounds as only the dedicated make the trip to AAMI.

Failing that Im amazed we didnt go back to AO this year.

Will get 12,335 this week.

The woodwork is creaking with South fans coming out*, the Northern Expressway will be full at about midday and Norwood fans will like their chances while all the Eagles fans there last week will be there this week to up the crowd by about 500.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Agree that 6-7K at a suburban ground would create a better atmosphere and it would be an interesting exercise to try it. My fear would be that you would only end up with 3-4K. As silly as it seems, I think the prestige/novelty of playing finals at either AO or FP lures the finals "bandwagoners" out.

Yeah and 12000 would look pretty decent at adelaide oval. 12000 at AAMI is port v freo on a sunday twighlight game in july . What is the reason for NOT playin finals at AO? They are playing a slowdown there in a week or so.I dont get it.

Not much more than last week. Maybe South may gain a few neutrals but Eagles & South have poor following. If South win they will capture the imagination of footy followers and do a Woodvile and get heaps of neutrals attend plus most local footy GF will be done .

Regardless of all that it's time for home finals for the higher placed team. One final Saturday and one Sunday (or Friday night ETC) Good result for local clubs financially as well.

Again, edited for accuracy. ;)

There will be a good contingent of red, white and blue in the crowd this week and that alone will increase the crowd figure over last weeks. There will be more Norwood fans there as well this week, no doubt.

i don't agree with playing finals at suburban grounds...wouldn't feel right...

adelaide oval is the go

there is always a good atmosphere at norowood v centrals games even at ammi stadium... more passion and noise than an afl game there almost

wetaher is fine on sunday..i think 15,000 would be good

but im guessing about 13,783
