Honestly, he's better than nothing. Proven goal kicker but has been out of it and is older. It's not like we have a young gun coming up that can step in at FF. We have Fraser Evans who I hope will hold down a mobile CHF role in 2012. We need another tall target and if nothing better can be found, then I'll take him.

A forward set up of Duldig, McIntyre and Warren with Fraser Evans would be handy. Warren leading, digger staying home and Macca roving....and Evans leading up the ground.

Some might say it's too much and maybe it is on smaller grounds but having the options would be good. Im not sure if duldig will go around again and I'm not sure if the club have him in their plans for 2012.

Interesting off season coming up.

Duldig has signed again and Ben Warren will do the pre season .

Cheers HP, how do you see our fwd set up next year?

Would be no suprise, stuggled to make Centrals best team before he left and would struggle now...

Reminds me of some past comments about Eddie Sansbury

Hopefully if Ben does return he struggles as much as Eddie has. Lol.

Jimmy - too early to tell but we require speed down there to create defensive pressure as Duldig is no way near effective in that area and never will be . I want Fraser Evans to improve more , he showed some glimpses but his busted hand put him back. Sheedy will play more down there next year you'd think so that will give us a creative type forward . We need another ruckman to release Wundke who could tandem with Evans which could set up a forward combination for years to come .

Time will tell obviously we will see who we recruit .

I admit I've not really seen anywhere near as much of Sheedy as you guys, but to me he doesn't seem like a creative forward type player. I'd have thought a move down to defense would be a more natural move for him.

I could see him go fwd and back to be honest, although the times he hasn't been on the ball, he has floated fwd and does have a good set of hands. He is pretty creative and skillful so I'd be happy for him to take a FP spot. However, we can always use cool heads in the back line and if patty fittock doesn't get back to 100%, we might need him there. But I think his future is in the fwd line as he can rest more there.

Eddie hasnt always been in great form, in fact some Centrals fans have regularly called for him to be dropped.

And yes Ill be very suprised if Nason is a CD regular, he cant get a kick in the VFL

Commisserations to Ed, copped a fair bit of injuries which never allowed him to show his full potential.

If he doesn't get picked up by another AFL club, he would be most welcomed home to Norwood.

Not sure about regularly calling for Eddie to be dropped, maybe once or twice.

Ben Nason could easily make the Dogs 21 next season, who knows what Central players will move on, retire, get drafted next year?

Ed himself might be one of those players, Jai Bednall mentioned something a few weeks ago in MMC that Ed may not play on next year.

I think Dutchy was busy clutching at a comment or two made by the odd centrals fan. Much like we had the odd fan wanting the Gowans to leave several years ago. Best part of the comment was not only did it turn out to be one of the worst calls ever, it never even looked remotely likely. I liked his subsequent attempts to try to convince us he never said he wasn't a good SANFL player too. Always a laugh when Dutchy tries to talk seriously about footy.

Seeing you have bookmarked the comments you would know these were before he returned to SANFL footy. And based around his butcher job in the AFL.

I know plenty of Centrals fans who have told me a couple of years back he was close to the chop a number of times (unlike you they attend every game) and even some CD players mentioned in in the media in 2009. 2nd Semi in 2009 he was named on an extended bench. Last year Centurion on here suggested he might get dropped for the GF.

He has obviously had an excellent year this year and has been a servicable SANFL player, Ive even complimented him a couple of times on here (but of course you chose to ignore those posts).

Yes, shame about those 1-2 games a year that I have to miss. Unfortunately friends insist on getting married, study field trips get booked and even the odd interstate trip is required.

Yes, I'm aware they were made before he returned. A guy who at 19 was picked to play in a GF who spent 5 years in the AFL system improving as a footballer. Was an utterly horrible call to suggest he might somehow at 24 be a worse footballer than he was at 19. But in the years since he returned, I don't recall hime once being dropped. The best you can come up with was a mention here and there and getting named on an extended bench. Yet not dropped. Most footballers over a 4 year span will go through patches were someone might mention them being dropped, or get named on a bench. Eddie has had to compete for a spot in the strongest team, which has often had players missing games who would play league anywhere else. Still, he held his spot time and time again. Somehow, despite all your posturing, you somehow know nothing about football.

Thanks for the laugh. That post has about as much credibility as the comments the discussion was spawned by.

I will say that His form last year was very ordinary at times, He was on the verge of being dropped & I think He might have been, not sure. BUT HIS form this year has been nothing short of magnificent! He will bolt in Our B&F this year!

Interesting hyperthetical that may come up for the first time in the SANFL.

Ex Crow and CDFC mini draft recruit Jon Griffin is apparently keen to get back to Adelaide and the Power are supposedly very interested.

Now if he is traded to the Power than does he automatically go back to Central as that was the club he was aligned with last time he played in SA or does he go back into the mini draft like every other player recruited to the state.
