We are but obviously said "boo" to rattle a few over sensitive legs supporters !!!

dear me, hopefully not at the players, as they left the oval! ;)

Good to see Central people adding worthwhile contributions to Norwood Match threads as usual. Where would we be without them?

today showed we are not good enough to beat centrals and norwood. With 5 of our 8 losses against these two sides.

big game next week against Glenleg down at the bay.

official stats will say that South won the Inside 50's and the clearances ,but unfortunately that was about it. Skill errors ,some forced, many unforced gave Norwood limitless opportunities to run the ball the length of the ground and score at will. Souths lack of height in defence was most apparent and needs to be addressed in the off season.
Norwood looked pretty good and will be there abouts come september.

Good to see Doyle get through the game, .........any game really....... 8)

Half way thru the first qtr
SA 2-4
NW 0-1
The Panthers had 3 gettable shots in a row that missed, including a poster
NW continuing last weeks horrible disposal at this point

DOMINANCE
NW then clicked and played some of the best football Ive seen in the last 2 years
This continued into early in the 3rd qtr
SA 3-6
NW 12-6
In that period NW scored 77 points to SA 8 points

MCGUINESS +DAWE
The catalysts were the brilliant Mcguiness in defence and Brady Dawe the leagues tallest rover
Mcguiness was almost impassable, at one stage the only time SA got past him when a ball bounced over his head !
Dawe kicked 3 goals in the 2nd qtr, he might just be the most skillful ruckman in the comp

COMMENT
A comment directed to Walker from a NW barracker in the crowd summed up the 2nd qtr
Dawe took a big mark up forward
The person yelled out to Walker to make room for Dawes in the forward line and to stay out of his way

FULLER
It was a 48 point flogging, but SA showed glimpses of good form
This Fuller guy is a good coach
He is nuturing and teaching these young panthers
A couple of pre seasons in the gym and they can be a great team
Today it was a case of men vrs boys, NW were just to strong physically

First time I have seen Norwoods red guernsey ,looks terrible. Looks like a training jumper or one the mini league wear as the away team.

Pretty ordinary performance. Didn't make the most of early chances, and then cut to shreds in the 2nd term. Game fizzled out after that.

We'll agree to disagree about the blue HP ;)

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, sounded like Josh Allen had a great game for the Redlegs coming in as a late replacement for Brett Zorzi, who pulled out* of the side.

Anyone know what is / was wrong with Zorzi?

He was jogging in the Norwood area, the spotter said in Queen Street
Strange way to prepare for a game later in the day !

Biggest crowd ive seen at Noarlunga. Got there 1/2 time of ressies and all car parks were full, they opened another carpark around the back of oval and used the back gates, never seen that before. Also went to canteen at start of league game and they were running very low on stocks and hold sold out of some drinks so i guess the crowd was bigger than expected.
I would think 3200 maybe more
