And whats with the West defenders whenever the Eagles kicked a goal they all go and tap each others hands and Ferg was the biggest culprit? I know you cannot blame one player, but for me Scott Brinknell can move on. Soft, runs away from the contest and when the ball is on the grandstand wing, he is standing on the outer wing boundray line while his opponent does whatever he wants. I have said many times that Ryan Willets is the loudest player I have heard in the SANFL...he barely raised a whimper today....I dont think I heard him once. There was no talk out there at all. Only possitve for me was Brad Fisher.

Well done to the Eagles, they played well and Groeke was excellent in the first quarter, he really set the tone for the Eagles boys.

Currently, I hate football.

What did you like about Brad Fishers game. His goal in the first quarter or his run out of defence in the last?

I thought he tried hard, constantly led and battled against two or three defenders each time. What was your thoughts on the game ST?

Same here and agreed, it will have to be looked at by the tribunal, surely, and with his poor record, Parry could be in trouble.

Also, do any Westies people know what Bread Fisher had written on the top of his left hand?

Just watching the game now and there is a close up shot of Fiaher giving the ball back to the ump and it looks as though there is about 4 things written on his hand in black texta?

Motivational things I'm assuming or it could be the shopping list to grab on the way home from the game? ;)

You guys have got to be joking re Parry getting games for that. The West players didn't even have a go at him after the tackle!

What is this game coming to.

I think the issue is Walkers ban has set a precedence. I thought it was a good hard tackle .

So are you saying that for a guy to get games, the opposition must remonstrate.

In saying that, I don't think he should get games (same as Walker shouldn't have) but as HP said, a precedent has been set.

Remonstration would indicate the players think Parry did something wrong.

In comparing to Walker's tackle, Parry was lower to the ground and almost fell back with the player, whereas Walker was upright and slung the North player down, landing over him. FWIW, I don't think Walker should have been suspended either.

Westies players didnt remonstrate because they were too soft, didn't care and were scared of the Eagles bigger players on Saturday

Im confused
Im truly really confused
Make that really really confused

Taylor Walker gets reported against NA for a sling tackle
A tackle that I thought was fair
That most people on SAFOOTY thought it was fair
That the NA coach said was fair
Verdict = 1 game suspension

Ive watched 30 seconds of the WA V WWT game on replay
Parry tackles Beech
Slings him to the turf almost to the degree of similarity to the Walker tackle
Result
No report
No free kick
And rightly so, after all it is a mans game

However, Im confused as to one player getting reported and suspended the other not

Cicolella reported for Charging
Grocke for striking

Grocke is basically a victim for his hard at it approach - what did he actually do? I know the play stopped for a minute while the other players stood there waiting for the next act of play, and he was being reported. No reaction from the crowd, nothing from the players, why is this bad enough to go to the tribunal for?

Will be very interesting now to view the Magarey Medal votes on this match, to see if there is any credence to the theory that reported players don't get votes. Cicolella and Grocke would almost certainly fill the votes with Chris Knights, I would think.
