It amazes me why when a side wins a match that supporters of that side cant wait to stick it into the other team, sportsmanship should be across the members of the club as well as just the playing group its actually quite embarrassing to the rest of us - I can remember going to South vs Sturt matches as a kid where people in the crowd used to clap the oppositions goals, how it happened that the whole spite reaction came into it i don't know.

Sturt have their issues, so does pretty much every side, whilst they may not have won today it was a vast improvement over last week. I would hardly write them off, with the right recruiting both locally and interstate they will bounce back pretty strongly. if players left because they don't like the coach then its a good thing because they don't deserve to wear the Double Blue in the first place. Sturt are far better off without clowns like that in the side, look at how well South went for so many years with those type of players on our list!

Apolgies South suporters , although some of you maybe slightly ignorant , we have them as well. Sturt lost a lot of players ,12 in fact so it does make you wonder why. Some had legitimate reasons others may have been able to have been talked into staying but maybe they didn't want to stay for some reason?

Not sure why some Sturt supporters keep the Ray Charles path. Ray could see , regardless of those missing 12 that Luke struggles as a coach , tactician and talent identifier. The Sturt folk that can't see that are dumb supporters.9/10 Sturt memmbers I speak to say the same .I worry when we have supporters that can't see it , that's the problem ,too may that accept crap.

Opened my big mouth so I am obliged to answer this (yes I know but least I respond )

McIntyre , Miles, Nielson , Duldig was a poor pick up (could have developed a kid and sooooo slow) McLeay has doubts as he is slow.

Others have had a chance - Jones , Bartlett and Jake Myles have not shownn anything.

Big doubts forJohncock and Hinge as well.

Call me what you like but I am honest..

The only observation I question there is Duldig. Whilst slow, I think he offers us a strong focal point up forward.

I enjoyed Wundke's game today (Sturt Wundke) and believe Fraser Evans is better than a Johncock.

Hinge should be shown the door and McIntyre needs to start playing a team game rather than trying to be an individual superstar. And HP, your points regarding Norman are certainly valid.

We need to recruit some decent defenders (in the ilk of Scott McGlone and Michael Coad). McLeay is painfully slow...

Well done Panthers. You are on the up and if you can retain your key players, I'd expect you to challenge in the next couple of years.

Sturt will struggle until 2013.

Yes Clarrie ,go the Panthers but I think with direction we can bounce back quick as we have some promise.

Clarrie - Wundke /Evans as the CHF FF ?

Still both quite thin and wirey... Need to really bulk up if they are to dominate those positions. You could be on the right path though...

The thing is we have some "supporters' thinking all is alright .Now that worries me ..................keep that going we will finish up like South historically.

South's Wundke is proving a revelation this season. His kicking is superb...

Not Justin Hardy, he took the money thanks.

Good to see Ronny showing some passion for the jumper!

I don't blame Ron. Some of yesterday was bewildering.

Asides from the mark and subsequent goal that was awarded after the siren had sounded and been signalled (which Was what Ron was obviously fired up about), and Dulgig's bump on Richman resulting in a free to Richman (why?!!), I thought the umps weren't too bad yesterday. Not great, but not too bad... ;)

I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. Playing five weeks with a fractured foot, returning in the ressies this weekend is a pretty fair effort. No, not trying to turn this into a central thread, just responding to misinformation.

A very enjoyable afternoon, great game to watch. I was sitting next to Don Cooper who was doing the live crosses for LifeFM, gave a big shout when he was doing the final wrap up and he said we've got some happy Panther supporters from Port Lincoln here or something like that. I'd had a few by then!!
