Didn't have a huge impact on the game but did spend a fair bit of time on and off the ground.

Only finished the match with 3 disposals and 3 tackles.

From memory, played his best game so far with the Dogs 2's back on ANZAC Day.

I think if Waldhuter didnt get the 2 week suspesion in the reserves he would be playing league footy now. Certainly his trial game form was very good. Im sure Big Phil can give u more info.

"Just reading through the reserves stats from Saturday night and good to see Cameron Milne perform after being sent back to the 2's. He had 12 disposals, 4 tackles and a massive 45 hit outs."

Nice!

Absolutely goraw, he is a VERY talented player and apart from being suspended (from ANZAC Day) Josh is developing nicely indeed. Played in the league side during a trial game at the start of the year and kicked 3 goals from a wing.

Would have made his league debut earlier in the year had he not got suspended for a silly incident while playing reserves on ANZAC Day. Is the Dogs only State Under 18 Representative and very much deserving of his position in the side.

Has real genuine leg speed, isn't afraid to take players on and generally uses the ball really well. Runs and carries the lines well as a receiver but can win the hard ball himself as well.

It was his first game back for the Dogs reserves on Saturday night - he served his 2 week suspension but then also missed a Dogs game playing in the State U/18's trial game side I think? He had 15 touches, 5 inside 50's and kicked a goal against South's 2's yesterday.

He will make his league debut for the Dogs this year without doubt, just a matter of time I'd suggest goraw...

No worries mate. I don't think Central will have him next year anyway, I know a few AFL clubs were interested last year so if he continues to improve, he would be a very good chance of being drafted next year.

Cheers mate. Pretty sure the ANZAC day game was his first for the dogs and he snagged a goal.

I dare say Kevin Sheedy out at GWS will be keeping a very close eye on Emmanuel Irra...

Pretty sure Irra doesn't turn 18 till after eligibility date next year, so South may keep him an extra season.
Well done to the Dogs tonight, too good, but a pat on the back to South also, great persistence all night.

I am often surprised by which players are drafted, but Irra is hard to not notice.

Noarlunga is by far the worst league oval to watch footy at. Who planned it? The grandstand is in the forward pocket; there is a large sheltered area, but nobody can see the game from it unless they are standing right by the fence since it is dead flat; and everywhere else is usually subject to gale force winds (although, ironically, this game was played in quite mild conditions for a change).

From where I saw the first half, one of the speakers was in the line of sight of the southern goals.

The match was not well attended. I think South need to do some serious marketing in those southern suburbs. I don't see how they will ever get the resources to succeed otherwise.

the forecast would have kept a few away BUT night games in winter (almost winter), not a good idea.

Just luck of the draw. Friday night was fantastic weather, I had just a shirt on all night at the parade, stuff all breeze and warmish night.

Sounds to me like you visit the ground every week. I thought centrals played at Hickinbotham only once or twice a year. The conditions on Saturday night were ideal, the ground was perfect, there wasa slight breeze to the Southern end but both teams had to deal with it.

The facilities at the ground are supplied and funded by the SAFC. The club virtually had the land supplied to it by the state government and has had to finance and supply everything else. All other sanfl clubs have had most of the infrastructure at there home grounds supplied by the generosity of the local council ratepayers over 50- 100 yrs.In time South off its own bat will have better facilities but for most clubs finances are tight so spending on infrastructure is currently pretty tough.

Molyneux an apt name for scoring soccer goals.
Wolves supporters will want a few more tomorrow night.

Just thought I'd pop this in here, Wolves got the two goals they needed to stay up. ;)
