While he hasn't set the world on fire, every game he's played this year he's gotten slightly better for us. The best match he played for us was against Glenelg. I doubt Roy would drop him just because he had a so-so match (according to reports) against Sturt.

Whilst I agree with your points on Milne AK, I think the other thing to consider is that the form Jack Hannath has shown in the 2's on a regular basis now is almost forcing his selection IMO.

Last week against the Bays he (Hannath) was BOG with 20 odd disposal and 51 hitouts, this week at Unley, he had another 20 odd posessions and at least 30 hitouts from memory.

I think Milne might find himself in the 2's at some stage for Hannath if Jack keeps up the good form in the 2's, not sure when that will be, but I think Hannath will debut this year.

Big stats from Hannath again last weekend in the Reserves might force Roy Laird to pick him for his League debut as discussed above:

33. J.Hannath: 14 disposals, 5 marks, 2 inside 50's, 4 tackles, 45 hitouts

Only the third player found Not Guilty this season, with one of the other two being Chris Gowans.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a game, if not more, based on the fact the SANFL tribunal system now goes by the same points system as the AFL.

Happened in front of me......nothing in it.....bit of high contact, bloke gets a free kick......if he hadn't dropped a simple mark under very minor pressure due to a slightly derogotary remark from the crowd it would never have happened......

OMG. How biased can you get. :)

Good luck to Obst and the dogs. It was only a free kick anyway, but recent history says he was lucky.

Hannath will get his chance sooner or later if he keeps playing well, but remember there is a massive difference in standard between league and reserves.

Massive boost to the Eagles getting Grocke back as well as Stewart from the Power and Petrenko from the Crows. Will give lots of run from the backlines which is important on a big ground. Also great to see Geddes back!

Westhoff injured? We look a little light on for talls and he's been good enough to hold his spot on form I'd have thought. Coupled with the fact I didn't spot him anywhere near the end of the game on Saturday I can only imagine it's an injury.

Good for O'Sullivan to get his name into the squad. Unless there's an injury or late pull out I can't see him making the final team though. Barmby and Schiller I think have done enough to this point for another game. But the pressure for spots is building. Symes in is massive. Gives us size, running power and ball gathering ability around the midfield or half back. Looking at the ins and outs I think the dogs are strengthened but the eagles probably remain the same.

Dogs by 10 points. I was tipping a narrow loss before seeing the ins and outs, which I think will add 2 goals or so.
