It is not the first time the company has been in financial difficulties since its 2010 founding.

The Adelaide 36ers dumped the company as its sponsor in February and there are unconfirmed reports that Woodville West Torrens has dumped the company in recent weeks as its sponsorship deal fell into arrears.

The company also faced being wound up in 2011 for an unpaid advertising debt.

I feel sorry for anyone caught up in their deceit but it wouldn't have hurt to do some due diligence.

Clubs can't afford to have sponsors not paying up.

From the WWTFC

26th February 2013

Dear Members, Partners and Affiliates of the Woodville West Torrens Football Club,

I am certain that by now you would have all heard about the troubles that Unleash Solar is having. This is to advise you of the journey we have had to date, the outcomes and what is next for our Club.

No sooner had I commenced with our business in early January and we were on the task of meeting with the principles of the company to tidy up last years remaining sponsorship arrangement (fractional) and to set some rules of engagement and gain a solid commitment around our 2013 season based on the perceived state of their business at that time. This took some time but in the end we managed to get Unleash Solar to the table and had a very open and candour discussion about our concerns for the partnership arrangement for 2013 (their 3rd year of contract). Unleash Solar made it very clear that their commitment to us had never been stronger.

I believe in treating our partners like we wish to be treated, and that this was the naming rights sponsor for our oval for the last 2 years, we were therefore open to one last roll of the dice hence giving them a strict deadline to make good the previous outstanding amounts and pay in full the partnership arrangement for the 3rd and final year of our agreement. This date was surpassed with no contact and we then visited them at their premises unannounced and advised that trust and communications, the two key elements in any partnership were unwell and we severed our ties and relationship. This was over 2 weeks ago and therefore the news over the last 48 hours is of no surprise nor shock to us.

Currently we are in discussions with another partner around this opportunity and we are confident that come the football season, the Woodville West Torrens Football Club will have a proud and reputable new oval naming rights partner.

I want to assure you all that our club is in good shape and we have some exciting new plans for this coming season. I encourage you all to continue your support for our great Club, make the most of the new facilities and introduce and bring as many new people to our Club as possible.

I have confidently set us some audacious goals this season because I know we have the personnel to deliver, from our board through to our playing group and everyone in between. I look forward to seeing you at the Club from Wednesday to Friday evenings and game days.

Regards

Just highlights how unethical this mob are.

I note Unleash are still referenced on the Eagles website... should really remove them ASAP.

Also, the SANFL still refers to Unleash Solar Oval in the season fixtures.

Hope that the Eagles can find a sponsor in time for this season.

Dog_ger got caught.

My System is down.

I can't see anywhere to go.

I think the company meant well but got caught up in cheap china products.

Any company is only as good as the products it supplies.

Shame China.

I don't think I will be a Buyer of anything Chinese in the future. ;)

Maybe if it wasn't so hard that everyone had to go off-shore to make a living, things would be different.

Comment PM Gillard. ;)

Got nothing to with China, most Solar products come from there.

You just dealt with a unethical company and got burnt ... sad thing is that you were warned.

2 companies up here do solar. One lot of panels come from the usa and guaranteed for 10 years, the other from china with 5 years. No brainer.

How can you be an un-ethical company before the fact dedja?

Are you stupid enough to think the company started out just to rip everyone off...?

Maybe it's me that is stupidly innocent.!

It was all over forums 2 years ago ... do you think I just made it all up when I was warning you back then?

They allegedly substituted components after contracts were signed without advising customers of the changes, were slow to act on warranty claims and had dubious advertising practices.

They've been unethical since they started in 2010.

And you're calling me stupid! ... LOL

Read them and weep ... http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-re ... ?t=1544135
