Oakbank will be there next year but Central may not play another ANZAC day match for 35 years.

Plus my misses is due to give birth any day and Oakbanks a bit far to be away.

There is only bout 10 minutes difference whufc.

Would have been a lot harder to get a taxi, and if it came to worse i could have got the train home.

Reckon the crowd figure was about right.

There were a lot less people around where I sat than the game a couple of weeks ago v Sturt and the people on the southern hill you could count on one hand.

As for the food outlets... Tried the only open outlet in the western stand twice. Qtr time there was too long a queue. Right on the half time siren there was a short queue but fk all food ready. I ended up paying $8 for a bottles of lift and water.

This is the 11 Grand Final rematches since the permanent fixture started:
2001: 6,834 Central 13.16 Eagles 11.12
2002: 5,150 Central 16.11 Eagles 5.7
2003: 8,694 Central 11.12 Sturt 6.10
2004: 6,215 Central 19.9 West 10.8
2005: 5,580 Eagles 16.22 Central 6.8
2006: 4,698 Eagles 16.15 Central 13.10
2007: 4,631 Central 23.13 Eagles 11.3 (Thebarton)
2008: 4,393 Central 12.12 North 9.11
2009: 2,854 Central 21.8 Glenelg 7.8
2010: 4,884 Sturt 19.9 Central 8.8 (Elizabeth)
2011: 6,358 Central 16.11 Norwood 9.10

I find it amusing the comments made in the early days of this forum and late Footy SA days as to why the crowds were so low because we were a part of the matches. Now the excuses have been shifted to holidays, amateur clubs using the day as a fixture too and so on.

And for the record, my comment is made by not taking 2009 into account. I can definitely understand why people did not go that day. The wind (and the chill factor) alone was bad enough.
