Was told at Half time it was nothing. the fact that when he was waiting to be able to go off he spoiled a pack using the injured arm it would have to be nothing major. Not sure of exact injury at the time though

Miller and Milera (?) are very exciting but Summerton doesn't seem to go 100 % at times when he should especially not when bodies around , is that a fair assessmment or did I just see it differently today not beinng a Port supporter.

In a way HP your observation looks accurate for the neutral observer. Although having played with summo i can assure he will always give 100%. I'll blow some wind up his ar$e here and say that this bloke has some serious talent and can be very effective whilst appearing to be quite lazy as he just knows where the ball will fall and is very smart with his positioning.

Port's indigenous contingent really are a joy to watch when on song, milera is a freak, miller a very smart player and clinch is like lightining.

Overall it was a scrappy game, skills for both teams were average but last years port would have lost that match, im glad we got the points today.

Yes that is how I see it with Summerton ,you have described it well.I am sure he gives 100 % and and am not saying he is bludging at all.

Those aboriginal lads are a pleasure to watch ,never know what they are going to do which makes watching them ( and any aboriginal for that matter) so exciting .You might want to let Miller know daylight savings is over as he seems to have an hour up his sleeve at times, very smooth and cool.

Summerton is a little lazy, always looks for a short kick or handball, aint very accountable for his direct opponent either.
Port had a real crack & it was great to see us win a close one for a change. EBERT fantastic, the moment he went on the ball gave Port the spark they needed.
The umpires were pathetic, i have no doubt Port would of won by more if they were consistant.
I thought there was around 4000 there today.
Its a shame the Tigers supporters don't travel, we could of had 6-8000 in attendance if that was the case.

No doubt ,but they will tell you they do travel.A few Bay fans together doesn't mean they travel .

Watching it on TV I thought Port missed a lot of free kicks and a lot were in critical positions meaning they could have scored. I undersatnd that is part of the game however after half time I thought Port were the better side and could have won by more .
Is Grima a concern for Glenelg fans , just does not do enough .I think the Bays have a few problems myself.

I was in the Port clubrooms for a little while after the game. The consensus among the Port fans in there was much the same: that last year's Port would have lost. That, and unmitigated joy at the win.

there has been some discussion about the 'poor skills' of both teams, i think we should give them a little credit given the fact it was very windy which would have made it difficult to execute the skills properly......as for the crowd i would have thought it'd be nudging 4,000

Bull crap. The standard of football was below average. The only reason people are saying great game was because it was close.

Yes it was windy and swirly but the skills at times weren't great ... players just don't drop the ball numerous times because of the wind alone.

i didn't say it was a great game i said the players should be given a bit of slack given the windy conditions, because as everyone knows it is more difficult to execute in those conditions than on a still day

true, however i'm talking about the kicking in general from both teams, ports marking in defence especially in the last term today was outstanding

Little credit indeed. Wind doesn't mean crap short kicks , doesn't mean wayward handballls or dropped simple marks .

Hitting the opposition on the chest, handballs at the feet and just general fumbling of the ball. Yes it was windy, but it's not an excuse.

Not sure why people get so defensive when there team is involved in an ugly game of football.

Considering the conditions TSG i think your being very hard, yes there were alot of turnovers but i bet every other game in those conditions would of been as bad if not worse.
I take the conditions into consideration & as frustrating as is was at times i thought it was a great game to watch.
